Finally This is being addressed.... I lost my son 17 years ago over False accusations of the court and was Lied to over the time to show up for court by my own attorney and when it came time to confront him over it he bailed out of state... I would Like to Arkansas over this because of the damage it did to my son & I's relationship to the point where don't even speak anymore after finally reuniting with him on his 18th birthday. It is a disgrace that children are removed from good families for the only reason of federal funding through title IVe. Parents have a fundamental right to raise their children as they deem for without government interference unless a crime has been committed that has been proven in a court of law. Amd even then extended family members should be able to raise the child without the government stopponent them. Parents should be able to turn to their families if they are unable or unwilling to raise their own children. Forced adoption on the name of funding incentives should be banned. Money should only be sought to strengthen families not year then apart. If you cannot eliminate child protection agencies then AT LEAST change the funding stream so removing children from their homes is not a lucrative business as it has become. Please learn more about the Family First Act of 2016 that will allow these provisions to title IVE funding and look up our page on Facebook.REPORT COMMENTS

I have seen this happen and I have long term foster children and yet when my own bio children were taken I was ignored because I did not say what they wanted to hear from me and I am sure due to the federal funding! (report stated I could not redirect the mother) my grandchildren ages 3 months, 3 years & 7 years old were placed with strangers then with 3 recovering heroin addicts whom did not have their own child and they knew this because I told everyone! This same dept. comes to my home every 6 months and I have had the oldest since 4 years old now getting ready to graduate and yes she knows who her parents are and she is able to speak to her mother and have contact with her mother as that is what another problem is lots of foster parents are lying & alienating the children to keep the kids for the money & the children are suffering Mom was on drugs and now is clean & sober & the children are happy they have contact! the baby was a year old & now is 11 even though we did not hear from her for a while she was sick in the addiction but I kept pictures & we kept her memory here the things the girls loved & remembered about her we spoke about at times so the baby knew who his mom is & he now says I get my laughter from you mom his memories are the ones we spoke about as he had none other then that we then had dinner with her & after she spent a week we went to dinner & he looked over to his mother & said "I love you mom" because kids want their parents no matter how messed up and some may say that it was not healthy I kept guidelines in place but these kids feel loved by all of us! Had their parents not gotten sober as the girls got old enough I explained to them we have not walked in their shoes who are we to judge (I have been guilty of that in the past) the parents had some tough times but they look healthy and we are all proud of them! I will continue to be supportive of their relationship with their parents! My job here is nearly done as long as they continue on their path of sobriety & I will be supportive of the return of their children! That is what foster parents should be doing but first and foremost the children should be placed with family!REPORT COMMENTS
