the foster care system is so corrupt. I am a former foster parent, would gladly take any child but can not deal with the system. Children should NEVER linger in "the system" beyond the 22 month mark. I feel that that is a generous amount of time for families desiring and working toward reunification to meet that goal. Nothing good develops in a child's emotional, mental or physical health when the window of time exceeds 22 months. These children have been through enough neglect, abuse and trauma. Let's get them into loving, supportive and adoptive homes.REPORT COMMENTS

We adopted our 13 yr old daughter from foster care after she was in the system for 10 years!! There is never any reason for a child to be in the system that long...ever! The damage and all those waisted years. Please consider putting this into place so that the child is protected instead of the parentREPORT COMMENTS
