I am a 28 year old father that is struggling to pay my child support, I owe over $4500 total, I loss my job, License is suspended and I am currently trying to find work and staying positive, not being able to see my 5 year old son because he's so far away is really painful to take, its almost like no one cares about us good dads out here or about the us being in our children's life its all about the money these days. To all the good dads out there stay strong n positive regardless of how messed up this system is our kids needs us! -

How do you expect some people who have driving jobs to have the career choice if they get the license taken away. I know child support needs to be paid but some drivers who get the license taken away can't do the job. What I'm trying to say is suspending the driver liscene is a stupid idea.REPORT COMMENTS

A FRIEND OF MINE CANT GET A DECEDENT JOB BECAUSE HE CANT HAVE HIS LICENSE BECAUSE OF ARREARS CHILD SUPPORT EVEN THOUGH THE CHILDREN ARE ALL GROWN NOW HAVE CHILDREN OF THEIR OWN. I UNDERSTAND THE MOTHERS NEEDED THE HELP AT THE TIME AND SOMEONE NEEDS TO PAY THE MONEY BACK THEY ALL RECEIVED THE MONEY TO CARE FOR THE CHILDREN, BUT LET THE MAN OR WOMAN FIND WORK WITH ONE OF THE QUALIFICATIONS ON JOBS IS TO HAVE A VALID DRIVERS LICENSE. Quite franky, this law is disgusting and in-humane. Fathers have feelings too and they should have more than 150 days to learn how to deal with the fact the mother just wants a pay check. The government should appoint lawyers for these cases and make sure that it's about family first and not money. Things like this destroy people, from the father, to the child to the mother as well, they just don't see it. Our country needs more reality about life and less about greed. A reason to leave the USA, I think so!!!!!! At this point, I rather take the bus than deal with greedy mothers and an inhumane government. The mother should decide about the license, but after 3 years of no support.REPORT COMMENTS

Department of Child Support Services claims that they help families and children, but they do not follow their own policies and end up hurting families and children.
