Without this being made retroactive it is only dealing with half of the problem. The sentencing laws were wrong today and they were wrong in days, weeks, months and years before. Take a look at each individual case. I also urge you to include the S714 Criminal Justice Reform and the congress equivilent of that bill retroactive as well. There are to many people in prison for non violent crimes, most drug offenses that need treatment, not incarceration for years and years sometime life!! Retroactive please Thank You -

My husband was sentenced to 15 years in a federal prison,and the time do not fit the crime.He ahs served almost 7 years.We have two children,and one whom he will be meeting for the first time,due to the fact that the travel was to long for him to sit. He was sent 5 hours away from home,and the cost of travel is financially difficult so my visits are not frequent.He has learned his lesson,and he deserves a fair sentence.I knows he did wrong,and he don't mind doing the time as long as it fit the crime.He accepts full responsibility for his actions,and our children need him.He hasmissed so me odf the most important parts of his children lives due to his bad judgment,and we are affected as well.When I see him,I am treated as if I committed the crime myself.I want my husband home safe,and with his children and myself,and I will be his voice everyday that he is gone.I stand behind this one hudred percent.REPORT COMMENTS
