I am a political science doctoral student, and this decision will fundamentally harm how my professors, colleagues, and myself conduct research. It is not the role of Congress to micromanage the NSF and tell them what types of science are worthy of funding. This is an example of uninformed decision-making which will lead to harmful and unintended consequences. I urge you to reconsider this decision. Let the NSF make its own decisions about the quality of science Political Scientists produce and whether or not to fund it.REPORT COMMENTS
