In the Charleston SC area, I have seen my bus reach 105 degrees with all the windows down and roof hatches open while elementary children are loading to go home. The first of the children who get on my bus have to wait up to 20 min before we are able to leave the school. My kids are packed in three to a seat. So add in the extra body heat, book bags in thier laps because there is no room for them anywhere else. The heat and humidity is unbearable and unsafe.REPORT COMMENTS

l was required to keep the windows up on my SpEd (mini) bus because one passenger wore bilateral hearing aids and #1. the wind-noise was excruciating for him, and #2. he couldn't hear me even if he sat in a front seat. Windows down for comfort (our relief from the heat) or up "for safety". The Co. can install child safety check-systems & no-idle technology but not AC? This IS 2016, right?REPORT COMMENTS
