As a driver I have often wondered what it's going to take....to loose a driver from a heat stroke...or possibly even a child due to heat...heat takes lives every year....it's sad...it's ts ts crazy and if you think it's not I'm sure I m not the only bus driver that would be glad to pick up part of our government for a scenic drive on oh let's say 80+ degree day..ofcourse the bus must be loaded..and we will see how you feel when we get you back to DC.... it's time for this changeJun 2nd, 2016Someone from Brookpark, OH signed.

The school bus company I work for expects the drivers to clean our buses daily. Including vomit etc. The clean-up kits provided are difficult to work with. They are hard to sweep up. Part of the problem is the executives who purchase these materials and order features on the buses have never driven a bus. They believe whatever they are told by salesmen, while sitting in their air conditioned offices, while watching the company's bottom line.REPORT COMMENTS

As a driver, even here in the north, it gets hot. When we have to go until almost July because of snow days the heat on the buses is overwhelming.REPORT COMMENTS

It's hard to believe that in 2016 that school buses still operate with air conditioning! We live in Palmdale,Ca area where temperatures can reach above 100 degrees. Our schools seem to start earlier in the summer every year. Our districts actually start the first week of August and it's hard to believe that these children do not have ac on their buses. Not having ac increases their chances of heat stroke and behavior problems. Unfortunately, like everything else these schools will do nothing until something negative happens. We would never accept them not having a heater on the buses but somehow it's okay not to have ac, ridiculous.REPORT COMMENTS

Children on the bus are there for such a short period of time but the drivers are on the bus for hours in hot, humid, horrible conditions. The heat that comes in from the engine is unbearable not to mention the fumes . No one should be made to work in the conditions bus drivers do in the state of FloridaREPORT COMMENTS
