I have driven for going on 5 years. It is so much hotter on the bus than outside. I always open all windows and vents and I even point a fan at the kids. I encourage the children to bring water bottles daily. I have had many scares when children fall asleep because it is so hot. On several occasions it took a great amount of time to wake them. It is very scary when you fear a child may not wake up from the heat. There are times when the weather stations advise that no one be outside if not absolutely necessary, yet we are on a hot bus with these precious children.REPORT COMMENTS

An oversight not to require AC on buses operating in temperatures above 98 degrees. I am not sure what OSHA has in mind for an acceptiable heat limit inside school buses, I am sure some days are in excess of 110 or more.REPORT COMMENTS
