They are in my house too! I have cats and they are driving them crazy. My Vet read about these Mites. She said to use Advantage Plus on the cats once a week for 4 weeks, it seems to have helped. I vacuum, change the sheets and lint roll everything. You are not crazy, if they think you are, give them a hug! :) Please find a way to get rid of them. They may be bird mites, they are so small you just can't see them

We have been dealing with bird mite infestations for about 15 years. Our original home is in downtown Orlando in the bird's migratory path & has huge oak trees. It was a constant struggle with extremely toxic professional poisons and constant itching, lack of sleep, washing clothing & linens frequently. We finally moved and have had several infestations, actually putting down Delta Dust then using a 30x loupe to pick mite bodies out with a pin. The exterminator was afraid of getting infested so gave us advice but never gave the preserved mites or info to the etymologist owners for fear of being infested while treating the house. I have physically seen them & have researched vectors, but it is still a LOT of work & exposure to various poisons. My wife grew up in the country not far away and NEVER dealt with anything like this. THIS is a new epidemic since the advent of global warming. There are actually government studies & reports on it. Bird mites are also disease vectors as well. PLEASE HELP!!!

It's been 6 years now. Dealing with this crawling feeling and stabbing painful bites on face, torso, scalp, legs...everywhere. I feel this on a daily basis, multiple times per day. I don't allow myself to scratch anymore for fear of ripping my skin off. Been to 3 different doctors who claim nothing is wrong because they can't see anything. Tell me I have dry skin or it's all in my head or contact dermatitis. Prescribed antidepressants and antianxiety meds with no effect whatsoever. Prescribed antihistamines that allow me to sleep sometimes that barely mask crawling feeling. Exhausted from all the cleaning and laundry in an attempt to get rid of whatever it is. Changed my diet even though I've always eaten right, thinking it could be something internal. Tried parasite cleanses...the works, to no avail. Tried ivermectin, multiple permethrin treatments to no avail. I don't allow myself to itch, scratch in public but notice people around me scratching, sneezing, and rubbing their noses when I come around. Notice clouds of floating "stuff" around me that looks like white lint. I believe it may have started when a bird built a nest in my A/C unit, who knows. Cannot see any bugs, and that is what I call them because I feel the crawling and intensely painful bites that come and go and I have had co-workers and family and pets I'm around suddenly scratching and rubbing, developing acute skin reactions. Feel spider web-like feeling on face and exposed skin at times. I was not depressed before this but this is very depressing and maddening. Refuse to see doctors anymore due to feelings of humiliation, being labeled as delusional, and treatments only aimed at masking symptoms. I also cannot afford any more treatments to try to find an answer. What a waste. I stay home whenever I can for fear of harming my loved one's with this. They all wonder why I'm a shut-in and never socialize. I try not to touch or get close to anyone anymore, but not possible as a nurse. Fear for my patients but need money to survive. This is not a life...wanting to end it all. Disgusted with the government and medicine at this point. I find it hard to believe the government doesn't know exactly what's going on. We have many smart people in this world, so why is there no solution?

me and my family and freinds have been suffering for years. I see stragers with this problem. The doctors are ignorant of this affliction and do nothing but misdiagnos and try to treat the symtoms.

Started suffering from this problem around the 2013 Xmas holidays and it has been a nightmare ever since. I have done so much research for a solution and I'm frustrated at the lack of a clear cut answer. It feels like these things can hop, jump, fly and float. Some days I walk into my house and I fell like my face has just went through an invisible spider-web. Then it will feel grainy like sand with the feeling of millions of creepy crawlies on my face. It gets worse at night when they start biting especially near my desktop computer. I've bought a microscope but could never see anything except for the occasional white, egg-shaped specks that seem to emanate from my skin. I've sprayed the entire house with vinegar, diluted bleach, washed sheets and clothing everyday and vacuumed the entire house twice a day and yet this nightmare persists. I'm at the point that I just want to burn down the whole house to get rid of these things but I think they would still survive. I know I am not delusional or have some internal disease because as soon as I exit my house, I rarely feel them anymore except for the interior of my car. I beg the powers that be to please investigate this to find a solution. I have seen postings about this problem as far back as the early 2000s and yet we still have this problem! Please CDC we are begging you!!!

We have had these since June of 2013. We believe to have contracted the infestation in Texas where we lived at the time. We have tried everything, even cutting our hair short so the mites wouldn't get to our scalps. We left all of our belongings and moved to California and still haven't been able to get rid of them. I have been to 8 different doctors, and a Chinese medicine doctor was the only one to actually address the issue as birdmites, the rest just said "scabies" or told me to get some anti-itch cream or something. We wash and bag our clothes in plastic bags- which does help some. We try to live our day-to day lives but this seems to be getting out of control. I pray that we can all find a cure and be relieved from this nightmare. Here are some things/products I have found useful: KLEEN GREEN helps a lot, there is also a product called Miracle Soap which I believe is sold on the same website. 99% Rubbing alcohol Lysol Spray-kills them on the spot but not the eggs Gold bond body powder(I use the $1 store kind) at night really helps the crawling and itching. It is made from menthol and is eucalyptus oil in powder form. Recently some family did some research and sent us Cedarwood essential oil, I'm not sure if it is helping or not yet but its worth a try. There is another product called "Cedarcide" and one called "Wondercide" which are supposed to kill the mites, but ONLY if you use the ULV or Cold fogger with the spray. I have been trying to save my money to get either one of these but it seems that something else always comes up and I have yet to be able to get them. I cut my hair to about 3 inches 5 months ago hoping that the mites would not infest my head but I still have little bumps all over my head and hair that falls out daily. We have 2 dogs also and have yet to find a Vet or product that works for them. I hope any of the information I gave can be helpful! Praying for an answer and healing for us all!

I have had this same thing happening to me over a year ago then I got rid of it then 3 nights ago I went to a friends and she said she had bed bugs but got rid of them. The funny thing was it was the same thing I had before but was never exposed to bed bugs before I don't think their bedbugs I don't know what they are but I found relief from them by using eucalyptus oil. I put eucalyptus oil in a spray bottle and added warm water I put enough eucalyptus oil in it till it smelled strong enough then sprayed my whole body including my hair and used my finger to apply it in my nose. I then sprayed down my furniture, rugs, bedding, my animals my entire house and they have gone away. Eucalyptus is a natural bug repellent and it will not harm you or your animals or furniture etc. I hope and pray that this will help any and all of you. Please I urge you to try this. God bless

My nightmare started almost 4 years ago when I innocently brought an abandoned bird nest in as a decoration. Soon, I was bitten all over and since then I have moved but they are still with me...they colonized me! I finally got skin scrapings identified as containing bird mites by UC Davis entomologist, but they and medical professionals do not "believe" the mites can live on human blood. I have seen 9 doctors, non of whom had any idea what to do and diagnosed me as delusional or as having Morgellon's. On my own, I have tried just about everything, chemical and natural, except ivermectin as I cannot get a prescription. These mites are survivors and I need help to eliminate them...seems like there are a lot of people in the same situation.

I have a relative that is complaining of this issue of mites or bug pin prick sensations and also that it is in her home. I feel helpless because I can't help her. She doesn't trust going to a Doctor because she is afraid they may think she is crazy and put her away. I am concern for her well-being. Please help and figure out what is going on here with all these people dealing with this. Who can she talk to about this for help.

I have a friend who has these Mites. We were able to see one in a hospital microscope at 1000x. Because my friend was called a Psychotic by the university medical center, I wrote a book about this disease. It will help people to understand that the people who have these Mites are fighting an army of highly educated doctors and scientists who are wrong. You can read most of the book free on Google. The title is The War On Mites. I also uploaded 8 YouTube videos that show the virtual indestructability of these Mites. The title of the videos are Dust Mites After 30 Minutes In Bleach. That is one, the others are Ammonia, Alcohol, Vinegar, and so on. We definitely need government help to fight these parasites.

I have suffered for over 7 years with terrible, life altering incessant itching, bites, crawling sensations and "hot spots" that have not gone away ever since I handled a stray cat with mange back in July of 2006. At that time, a stray cat suddenly appeared at my door in a rain storm, and it would not leave, so I did the right thing and I took it in to a no-kill shelter and I made sure it got a good home. Exactly 2 weeks after handling that stray cat with mange, the nightmare began. The bumps and itching started on my hands, and then moved up my arms, by that time I saw my doctor who diagnosed "scabies." Fast forward 7 years - I have spent thousands of dollars, I have seen many doctors, gone through dozens of treatments with Permethrin and ivermectin (in normal treatment dosages), cleaned my environment, and I am still suffering with this horrible biting, itching, crawling sensations, and many sleepless nights with these mites. A former CDC researcher and veterinarian actually did a skin scraping on me, and she found it was a mite that did look very similar, but not totally the same as, cat demodex mite. Permethrin has helped to control the population, but it has not totally gotten rid of it. Obviously I can't go for 7 years with constant pesticides on my body nor will any doctor prescribe that much pesticide as it would be harmful to my health. Instead I have had to turn to trying dozens upon dozens of home remedies and alternative treatments including cedar oil, tea tree oil, diatomaceous earth, vinegar, sea salt, swimming pools, enzyme cleaners, mustard powder, borax, throwing out and replacing entire wardrobes, throwing out my furniture, moving, constant cleaning of my environment (ie, spray work area every day with alcohol, replace work chair, spray entire work area with benzarid, constant floor mopping, etc.). I now lead a semi-normal life, but I want answers, and I want this biting mite OUT of my life now. After looking for help on the internet it is clear to me that something is up - this seems like an unspoken epidemic that a lot of people are suffering from. Whether it is from global warming, or a science experiment gone wrong, we deserve answers. Thank you.

About 4 years ago I got what I thought was bed bugs. I was traveling with my job and I thought that I got them from a cheaper hotel. I got plastic on my bed and then they went away. Then shortly there after I let a homeless lady get into my car while I rode her to town...trying to do a good deed..and I got what I thought was body lice...I did all kinds of natural treatments and did all the cleaning and for a period of time then the bugs were gone. Then I got something that was biting me all the time day and night...and I could feel the crawling and I could catch them once in awhile. A really tiny bug, and I was finding black and brown specks all over the house as I cleaned. This is next to impossible to get rid of. I have tried everything. I can minimize the biting and can get them off my body temporarily but then they are back. They get in my eyes, ears, try to climb into my private areas. I get bite in my car. I am avoiding people..as much as I can...The weird thing is that I am the only one getting bitten badly...my boys only get an occasional bite. These live in the seams of the clothes...and soaking in borax is the only thing that seems to kill them..I have a long and tedious routine to keep the bugs off me...and I have had to take out 4 payday loans due to all of the extra expenses trying to get rid of them. I have health issues and strong pesticides for me could be deadly. This has been going on steady for 1 year and half now...and within the last six months I now am seeing fibers in my skin and my hair and skin has changed.in a sci fi kinda way....I feel as though I could have morgellons...which led to the other infestations...or maybe the bugs brought the morgellons..... The last bug I believe to be bird mites because we knocked a bunch of old bird nests that down that were in our gutters and in the dryer vent. My animals are also needing constant care to be comfortable. I feel this may be one of the worse things I have ever dealt with in my life...I am sparing you the gory details in this post. Believe me...this a nightmare..like something out of a horror movie. I was looking some financial help so I can get the carpet out of the house, and make other changes that will help me...but so far I have dealt with this alone...

I am suffering, this has ruined my life and I worry my daughter will soon have it too. I have spent everything I have trying to get rid of these bugs in my home, my car and treating my pets. It is a diease and my friend from Florida is proof it can be spread. Please Help!!!!

I am so sorry for all of you. I contracted this 12 years ago, I have thrown away several sets of furniture and moved several times. The only time that I (still had the mites) it did not bother as much was when I was in the hospital having surgery (I think the antibiotics were what helped). I only associate with my family as I am afraid I will infect people, and I do not want them to see my rituals. Sigh, so sad we are going through this. May God Bless us all.
