Mr. Senator, Ted Cruz This country is so far behind when it comes to the prison system. Why would anyone take away the most important thing away in any PERSONS life? The family. I dont like the word "Conjugal" but lets call it family visits. If u have got kids it seems as if the whole family is being punished for their loved one having done something that they need to be punished for. If family visits would be allowed in every state through out the whole of United States maybe the inmates wouldnt assault the CO´s with their constant exposure in front of them. If there would be some benefits to the inmates that could get taken away if they misbehaved while in there. Family is the most important thing in anybodies life. Family can give them what they are missing when being locked up.... the physical contact that every human so desperately need to function. SO; when it comes down to it Senator Ted Cruz; WHY NOT? Ask your self that question and come up with an answer that we can use for something instead of just denying the facts of that happy inmates makes a better environment for everybody, Who knows; Some huge changes might happen if they are given something that they need. Just look at Prisons in Scandinavia - The inmates have what they need. They cook them selves - that gives them a sense of still being at home having to take care of responsibilities around the house, They can watch TV in their cells cuz every cell is provided with a flat screen TV. That will educate them just a bit more. Education is everything when u wanna develop people and yes inmates are humans and they are people. Their families can call their loved ones in prison for no extra charges. It is ridiculous that anybody have to pay as much as 5.63$ for a 20 minutes call. I personally would love a long embrace with my love. Sex is not the only form of intimacy and to only be able to get a peck on the cheek or very quick hug isn't enough. The family shouldn't be punished, it's what make us sane.REPORT COMMENTS
