My son has 15 yrs. to life. It was self defence. But because he had such a terrible public defender that did not even know the case after FOUR YEARS and not to mention we honestly believe that he was helping out the prosecutor to become a Judge. (which she did right after my sons trial.) Because of my sons sentence he is not allowed family visits. He was 18 when he went to jail. Thank GOD for contact visits but that just is not private or long enough. Overnight visits would be amazing. My son is innocent for what he was charged with. It is a very unfair system. They say 15 to life. If it has to life on the sentence, they do not get family visits. That is who needs them!! They are basically saying since he may get out on parole in 15 yrs. but he may stay in for life you don't get to spend any time with your family. EVER!! So sad and heartbroken when all my son did was fear for his life. He is such a good caring person.REPORT COMMENTS
