When someone abuses animals it is like abusing a child. Neither one can defend themselves against the person doing the abusing. Animal cruelty/abuse/neglect should hold the same punishments as any other case against children, elderly, people in general. Animals can feel, they experience fear, and happiness, and pain just like any one of us. This should never be ok, and 2 years for burying an animal alive is not nearly enough. beating an animal so badly that she is missing half of her face, has a broken back, her legs don't work. This is NOT ok. And it's time we step up and make sure these sick people are put away, and get the punishments they deserve.REPORT COMMENTS

I am hearing more stories about animals being beaten, abused and killed. When someone intentionally kills an animal, many states will only give 6 months to a year of jail time and a fine.
