Singling out any prescription medication to be taxed is discriminatory. These medications are essential in providing as much normality as possible for millions of chronic pain patients in this country. This tax would burden chronic pain patients who already spend an exorbitant amount of their income on medical expenses, yet they typically have a smaller income due to age and/or disability. This is a terrible idea. Most of the addicts aren't getting these drugs legally anyway and won't likely PAY this tax. Chronic pain sufferers will now be penalized.REPORT COMMENTS

Prescription medication shouldn't be taxed ! Many can't afford medication now , putting a tax on a medication will do more harm to patients who deserve nothing but some quality of life opiates give them.REPORT COMMENTS
