Child Support has nothing to do with someone's drivers license. The government has based ALL financial obligations based on losing your license and that's not fair! I pay my sons health insurance plus I have to give her $800+ a month. Now they wanna take my license cause I can't make the full payments each month, even though they take money directly. I make $500+ net pay but pay child support everyweek....I come home with $45/50. I wrote an appeal but hasn't heard anything yet.... It's been 3 weeks, and everytime I call or go to the local office they give me the runaround. This needs to be fixed!REPORT COMMENTS

I agree im a construction worker I have been since I turned 18 and I'm 28 know because of this thing they call a law I lost out on one of the best jobs I could have ever had because I found out I couldn't drive to the rig sight to get interviewed and know every winter I end up behind and lose my licens then when I go to start work in the summer again like always I can't drive some of the equipment and have to make sure I have some one to drive me everyday it makes it hard to even wanna get up and go I understand that it shouldn't be late but like the saying goes why kick a man when he is down that's what happens and what really sucks is for some reason my daughters mom the one I pay child saport to knows I work seasonal the court know I do and as a final hey lets kick yea again they serve yea with papers to go to court and because you have been behind before they judge thinks your a pice a work and wants to throw you in jail for 2-6months or longer with out the ability to work well in jail so you can pay it like any one that does seasonal work would when the season begins again instead they take the no pay as your just blowing it off when no you just can't pay for 3 months to 4 if weather holds up bad that yr if They wouldn't have taken my lichens like they awalys do life would work out so much easier for both the child the father or mother whom ever is paying the child saport and the courts time there should be a set high that you have to reach before any acation should be taken and watch yea some ppl will still just not pay because there's ppl like that but for the ppl out there just getting behind because of weather and there career they love doing only seasonal no you get job for the winter k then you can pay yea but what happens when you tell that place your going back to your construction company like I have experienced they remember and chances are very high they won't hire you back the next winterREPORT COMMENTS

I have been out of work for eight months, I have applied for nearly 500 jobs within this time and have received seven phone calls. I have nine years experience in mechanic work that is needed everywhere, atleast you would think so. Another concern is that I presented my difficult to the child support hearing in court twice, and I was rejected on both accounts beings that they say I've quit my job voluntarily. Who would quit there job to not pay child support, that is unthinkable for a man at 27 years old who's worked the past 15 years supporting my children and family.REPORT COMMENTS

I raised my son from the time I was 15 alone for 12 yes ,with no financial support from his dad.Although there was a court order.When my son was 12 I decided I was going to turn his dad in, so his dad offered to buy him all kinds of things if he would go to court and say he wanted to live with him..Now his dad had more money than me,because I was raising a child alone.So being a kid, my son agreed.During this time my ex decided to flip child support on me.The welfare office did noting to him and I had proof he never paid me child support.Instead they suspended my driving lic because I didn't have enough money and was trying to find a job.So I was unable to get a job because I had no lic...so my son is grown 26 yrs old,in the Marines,married with a child.Yet my lic are still suspended.. And his dad still owe me over18,000$, and I only owe 5000$.you would think that would cancel mine out,but till this day they never went after his dad; except for arresting him for not. paying his other ex wife child support...yep this sounds fair.REPORT COMMENTS
