I'm seriously considering suicide. I certainly won't be the first one. I was falsely accused of "abuse" and served with a Protective Order. I have never been abusive toward any woman, ever in my life. Never. My wife lied, and then later admitted to the Judge, that she had lied and that I had never abused her, ever. The Judge still issued the order to "err on the side of caution" like they very often do. I was never allowed to go back home. She took everything, and I was labelled an abuser. Thousands of dollars worth of furniture, my clothes, my medicine, and a bunch of things that I had as a kid... but that wasn't the worst part. The worst part was just realizing how easy and how often this happens every day, in every courthouse in America! That was years ago, and you would think that I could get over it by now... its been about 6 years! Here's the problem... I now KNOW. I saw it with my own eyes. My wife flat out admitted in court, to the Judge that she had lied, but he still gave her possession and control of everything we owned, and I was legally made homeless, when she should have been charged with felony perjury. I now KNOW how much power and control ANY woman has over a man that she's living with. She can have him put in jail, steal all of his possessions (house, car(s), etc.), or just threaten to do it... so she can control and manipulate the man into doing whatever she wants. I can never take that risk again. I can't lose everything again, or possibly even be put in jail next time (trust me, there are plenty of falsely accused men in jail and prison right now). These women don't have "false accuser" written on their foreheads.. they aren't black, or white, or Asian... they don't "look" like evil people. There is absolutely no way to tell which woman will or will not lie, and falsely accuse her man of abuse. Its not "poor", "trashy" women (Amber Heard recently did this to Johnny Depp).... Its ANYONE! Its a crime of opportunity. When two people are living together, and then separate, obviously someone has to move out and get a new place... possessions have to be agreed upon, etc. Except for this.... Women have a special tool... the "magic bullet".... A Protective Order or Restraining Order, issued with NOTHING but an accusation! These orders give the accuser possession of everything (including the house), and now the accused will be forced to prove they did NOT commit abuse! 2-3 million of these orders issued every year, and NO ONE has EVER been prosecuted for lying to get one in America.. NEVER! They are guaranteed to NOT be prosecuted, even if they ADMIT they lied under oath... that's why they keep doing it. I have been extremely isolated now for several years... I literally trust NO ONE. I thought I could just live in isolation.. I mean, its better than a jail cell. But I get lonely... but, I still can't bring myself to trust ANY woman, because I know they can ALL do it. All they have to do, i -

I was a victim of such an accusation and forced to pay for legal aid and, counseling, and mediation. During the first meeting the mediator became frustrated making the comment to me: "She is trying to use this to renegotiate the divorce settlement." My accuser also later recanted her claims to my lawyer. I still had to go to court and was excused only because the plaintiff did not appear, knowing her accusations were false and could not be proven. No one was interested in holding the plaintiff accountable for my expense and humiliation. There needs to be disincentive for false accusations. I am not advocating for a reduction of the protections offered to people suffering from true harassment and battery.REPORT COMMENTS

My son's wife had him arrested after she was beat up by drug dealers. Instead of telling the hospital staff and police officer she had not even been with my son for over 24 hours and that she was beaten by her dealer. She allowed the officers to go to their home and have him arrested. So in short she saved herself at the expense of her husband (soon to be ex).... broke all of our hearts. We knew she had a problem but not to that extent. It is truly heartbreaking to know she has done this to him and shows no remorse. Just hiding behind her lies. The state's attorneys office said they see alot of this. I asked why didn't they confront the "other" guy who's house she went to after the apparent attack. Where my son found her and followed her to the hospital to discover she had been beaten. This was not the first time in their short 2 year marriage that she had been beaten by another man, raped, abused, etc..... all in question now. Those guys were her victims too.REPORT COMMENTS

I live in Bloomington, Indiana and I have to add a comment .I have a civil family litigation and the mother of my children Courtney O'Mullane is so spiteful that under oath on the witness stand she committed perjury lying in open court that she was a victim domestic abuse and she claims I gave her black eyes and she has an attorney Katherine Stafford urge her to fabricate these tales of physical abuse .I had the opportunity on 9/2/2016 to explain to Judge Valerie Haughton that I never was abusive to Courtney O'Mullane and that see was being falsely accused of abuse.I know that there are ignorant men that do hit women for absolutely no reason those men should be locked up because it's not right to beat on women and use them for punching bags and those women need assistance from Domestic Violence Shelter and Victims Advocates and my heart goes out to women and defenselss children who go through senseless violence , but Courtney O'Mullane is lying and she committed perjury and I have complained to the court but nothing is ever done about it and I don't want to be labeled as a guy that hit women and accused of abuse when I didn't do it.It's just Courtney O'Mullane is jealous and upset I have custody of our children and she is willing to lie under oath just to make me look bad and I'm disgusted with it and by it being a crime to lie on the witness stand it should be prosecuted. As a victim of false accusations of DV. I feel there is no burden of proof for the abuser in any case, and while I can understand that you want to keep a victim safe first and say sorry later but you destroy lives of the many innocent citizens when the burden of proof is not on the petitioner, also if no solid proof or danger is established in the following hearing with or without the respondent present I believe a default judgment should not be met due to lack of evidence. In these sensitive cases that often involve a toxic married couple where malicious intent in court may occur it is very important due to the consequences involved that we review the evidence with or without the respondent present because the burden to prove a crime has been committed civil or otherwise should always be on the petitioner or the prosecution never the respondent or defendant to run both of those systems is ludicrous and hypothetical to the very.
