Enforce the laws we do have before ushering in new laws that don't work. We need to hold out elected officials accountable for acting like our rulers and remind them they are our voice when we need them to talk. Their opinions are void while holding office. All bills must be placed in the hands of the people with out bias. Make a law that will keep the state government from under truthfully exploiting the facts. Stop these bills and veto them Mr. BROWN.Jun 22nd, 2016Someone from San Pablo, CA signed.

California has the strictest gun laws In America. The 2nd Ammendment is vital for a free nation! California's state & senate continually increases infringements on law abiding citizens. Making us more & more vulnerable to evil doers. Punish the Criminal, go after the terrists - enforce the many laws we now have! Give our law enforcement power to get criminals & terrorists. Going after "the gun" is not the answer. Thank youREPORT COMMENTS

I'm a law abiding citizens of good standing in the community. In fact, i have a CCW to protect my family and myself. We have a huge street gang problem in the Fresno / Madera California area and the local law enforcement encourages citizens to arm themselves. The ant gun laws that keep being forced on law abiding citizens has no affect on criminals and terrorist, domestic or imported. I would ask that your efforts be spent on solving the gang problem and threats of terrorists. I am sure that all of you have private or publicly provided security. If you feel that we as law abiding citizens don't need to protect ourselves then lead by example and dismiss your security that you have and if you have a CCW , throw it away. Please veto all proposed gun legislation because we both know that it won't protect the public. Instead, show us that you support the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights, including the Second Amendment. DC v Heller says that we have the right to keep and bear arms. These bills are the same as before. Sad you have to deal with this misguided group intent on denying constitutionally protected rights from your citizens of California. They will all fail in court if passed as they failed before - costing taxpayers millions of dollars once again. I have much appreciated your sanity in the past and I appeal to your sanity presently. Thanks Jerry!REPORT COMMENTS

Please do not continue the on going punishment against the vast majority of responsible gun owners due to the actions of a few criminals and terrorists. Millions of semi automatic rifles with detachable magazines are owned by responsible people who never do any harm to others and use them to defend themselves againt dangerous animals or even home invasions with multiple assailants. Do not make thousands of honest, hard working taxpayers into criminals. Rather, punish the criminals and terror groups responsible for these tragedies and leave our rights intact. Availability of ammo is also an infringement on the 2nd amendment so please don't restrict our supply to compete, hunt, and protect ourselves from these vicious monsters who would murder so freely. If we can defend ourselves, then these tragedies may be reduced or even averted altogether. Don't leave us defenceless against the gangs and criminals. Our children deserve the added security of a responsible parent who is properly equipped to defend them against a greater numbers of assailants, as home invasions have happened here and were carried out by large groups of armed men. Even a single mom could, with proper training and practice, defend her home against these odds. We only want justice against criminals, not infringements on our rights. Please reconsider these bills and any further gun or ammo restrictions, to many will be negatively affected.REPORT COMMENTS

All of these ludicrous and asinine bills do is absolutely nothing to stop criminals/terrorists in any way shape or form from committing violence. What these bills do would only affect the law abiding gun owners...not the crimiinals. There are more than 39,000,000 (thirty-nine million) gun owners in this country, a number that is increasing exponentially with every criminal/terrorist act of violence that happens, and as California is the state with the most gun owners, it is time to go after the human beings that commit these heinous acts. STOP treating inanimate objects like they are thinking criminals...go after the real criminals that commit these violent acts. To quote (paraphrase) John Steinbeck, amongst others:??The mind is the weapon, everything else is merely supplemental.? Use any or all of the more than 27 thousand gun laws that are already on the books in this country, and ARREST AND PROSCUTE THE CRIMINALS THAT COMMIT THESE CRIMES.REPORT COMMENTS

The issue is not control, but crime control. This bills will not keep firearms from criminals nor will it reduce crime in any way or form. It only serves to further limit the legal and recreational uses of modern sporting rifles. I am against having law abiding citizens suffer to the pandering of politicians.REPORT COMMENTS

Law abiding citizens need more access to carry guns in public. Stop making obtaining guns even harder and make CCW permitting more accessible for ANY citizen that does not have an impediment in their background. When the good guys are also armed, the bad guys can't kill very many of us at once. The bad guys always get themselves armed too. Prohibition simply doesn't work.REPORT COMMENTS

Gov. Brown please strike these anti law abiding citizen laws down. We all know that these laws will only harm law abiding citizens and do absolutely nothing to keep a criminal from getting the weapon he chooses. These are the types of laws that tilt the scale in favor of the bad guys and turn law abiding citizens of California into outlaws for having a firearm that is built a certain way or has a certain feature. Bad guys will always have weapons and they should know that average law abiding citizens just might have the same weapon to defend themselves.REPORT COMMENTS

Stop infringing on our rights. Stop blaming the gun. Guns don't kill. People kill people. In a state with some of the strictest laws, we still see gun violence. These laws already prohibit law abiding citizens from carrying and stopping mass killers in their tracks. How many more laws are going to be passed before you realize these laws do not work because criminals simply do not play by the rules??? Not even a complete ban will solve the problem. Millions of guns exist, therefore, it is impossible to get rid of. Fix other problems like our health care system to stop these insane mass killers.REPORT COMMENTS
