Please keep our defense departments power balanced and leave the national guards helicopters where they are.REPORT COMMENTS

I drive from fayetteville NC 2 to 3 times a week to Raliegh NC for the past 4 years doing my AFTPs. It takes me 1:45 mins one way to get there. I sleep in my car throughout those days just so I can do my duty as a guardsmen. I enjoy what I do and the family and I have been willing to sacrifice that timefor my service. I left active duty while still under contract because I was given the opportunity and was told that the NCANG unit was one of the best out there. Not to take away from others. So i left a fulltime job in 2007 as soon as I got back from my 15 month deployment. Just so I can do my long life dream. We've supported the Marines (MARSOC), Airforce JTAC cherry point nc, ranger bat over at Avon Park Florida and Special forces in bragg all because we are a reliable source in the state of NC. When you have an active unit who doesn't leave R5311 and there crewchiefs paint rocks because us contractors at bragg work on the birds. Now the NCANG and the rest of the Guard is in danger of losing A/c and personal that supports units like the ones I mentioned earlier. All we can do is pray and hopefully the right decisions are made. God Bless. I also hope I did not offend noone because those were not my intentionsREPORT COMMENTS

Why make the Guard pilots the whipping boys? They are largely better trained than their Big Army counterparts. Not only are they deployed more often, but I know that our NC Apache unit uses the ENTIRE STATE to train, from the mountains to the coast. Their active counterparts, based at Ft. Bragg, very seldom leave post.REPORT COMMENTS

The whole " cost saving" plan is full of massive holes and based on unrealistic projections. It simultaneously guts both our Active and National Guard forcesREPORT COMMENTS

These men and women are the most highly trained pilots we have! They have served more tours in Iraq and Afghanistan than most active duty soldiers! Don't be stupid!!!REPORT COMMENTS
