The services offered by this grant are very critical to the continued recovery! This grant has provided formal mental health counseling which has been a benefit to myself, my family and neighbors. In addition, the casemanagement has also been beneficial. Please extend this grant! The services are still greatly needed!! PLEASE, PLEASE PLEASE!!REPORT COMMENTS

Homes in underserved neighborhoods in the Houston MSA (Harris County and Texas) are profoundly marked by "blue tarps", tree stumps from storm-damaged trees, brown boxes over holes in windows, etc.. These are the visible and physical remnants of Hurricane Ike's devastation. For thousands of families, this is the easy part. The difficult part is living behind the sometimes water logged doors of these homes hoping and praying for repairs and essential services that have in recent months become available. These repairs and services are greatly enhancing the quality of life for affected families, creating and saving jobs, and empowering disenfranchised neighborhoods and low-income families.REPORT COMMENTS
