I would love to see this to go far and become a true document! and for it to be upheld. I asked my congressman this same question! I think I should send it to him.REPORT COMMENTS

Even if one is receiving welfare and not working at the same time, the welfare money should seem like a paycheck for the work one has done whether it was looking for a job, taking care of the children, or cleaning up the house. This "paycheck" should also make it seem as though one has a job and in this work environment, there should be certain rules to maintain employment. This is no more an invasion of privacy than requiring the proof of need for welfare.REPORT COMMENTS

I know people who brag about buying welfare food cards for $50 and getting $300 worth of food. Go back to the days when they only get government surplus (powdered milk, eggs ). It's quite clear to me the children aren't benefiting !!!!REPORT COMMENTS

This should have been an mandate years ago. It is time that I have a righ as a Tax Payer to know that my money isn't being mis-used any longer. It is also time for a complete over-haul of the system, no more having kids to up your pay, no more 3 generation recipients. It's time for a productive change..REPORT COMMENTS
