In addition, even if this it hurts the children of drug addicted welfare participants that should not be a burden on the taxpayers! It is time for the government to stop perpetuating the problem by continuing to support drug-addicted individuals on welfare programs. Furthermore, welfare has been proven to be more effective if offered on a one-year period rather than multiple year supplements (if you were truly interested in solving the problem). It is time to allow people to act as individuals, to rise and fall on their own accord. What ever happened to the individual self-accountability in our country? What ever happened to our Constitution and individual rights? Every person should have equal opportunity and this welfare system does not create equality it breeds stupidity and hostility among the other hardworking individuals in this country whose money is stolen from them every month against their will! I am a young, hardworking American that still believes in what this Country used to be and I will fight to make it great again! For the record, I am only supporting drug testing for all welfare participants simply because it is one of the lesser evils within this corrupt and useless welfare system. ALL public welfare systems including food stamps, state assistance, and even childcare, NEED to require drug testing AND job searching in order to recive ANY benefit. If they are drug free and trying to find a job or have a job that doesnt support their family enough, they are eligible.
