My son who has T1 is 21 . Luckily right now he is on our medical insurance which happens to be very good as far as covering meds and supplies for the disease. However I hate to think what will happen when he is a young twenty something and has to be responsible for this on his own. If his employer does not have adequate insurance benefits he could be in dire straits. This drug keeps our loved ones with this disease alive. No one should ever have to wonder if they can afford to have a drug that is a neccessityREPORT COMMENTS

Please help us! My mother is a type 1 diabetic, she has had this disease for 45 years. 45 years of relying on insulin to stay alive. And now, the costs are so high that she cannot afford her medication and we are putting in on our charge cards...we...her children are going into debt because of the monopoly in the insulin market. She is currently in the medicare doughnut hole and can't get her medicine. So she will end up in the hospital costing THOUSANDS to the tax payers. This has to stop. This is not how we need to treat our children and our elderly.REPORT COMMENTS

They're sentencing our children and others to death!! That's what it's going to come down to after we cannot afford the daily medications and supplies to keep our babies alive. Something needs to be done!!!REPORT COMMENTS

I have had type 1 diabetes for 47 yrs. Type 1 children grow up to be type 1 adults. The increase in cost of insulin is forcing me to make choices in my life that I shouldn't have to make. I didn't do anything to get this disease. I've kept myself healthy thus far but the fear of being unable to afford insulin as I age is real. What are my options? It's so sad that big Pharma is gouging us for life sustains drugs while their CEO's are looking for their next million dollar vacation home. This shouldn't be allowed in the greatest country in the world. Really.REPORT COMMENTS

I am a type 1 diabetic who will die without access to insulin. Right now I have insurance that covers the rising cost pretty well. But for many now, and likely for me in the future, that will not be the case. It is a constant concern for all of us, and shameful to be price gouged while trying to remain healthy and productive. I love our country, but hate the greed that we see being exhibited in the pharma industry. Please help!REPORT COMMENTS

There needs to be a cap on what pharmaceutical companies can charge for life saving medications. If things continue the way they are now, my 12 year old daughter will not be able to afford care for her diabetes when she reaches adulthood. This is unacceptable.REPORT COMMENTS
