I recently separated from the USAF in 2015 to specifically continue a career as a professional pilot. I am currently attending a community college which has a contract with a local flying school and I'm being told that my education benefits may not cover the flying portion. This is outrageous. I never would have left the service to continue life goals if I knew my benefits would be taken from me. I realize that someone has taken advantage of the benefits and that helicopter training is more expensive. If anything, put a cap on helicopter training and allow the fixed wing students to continue their careers.REPORT COMMENTS
