this sudden change of benefits is going to further the pilot shortage. I have been planning and dreaming of using my post 9/11for along time to become a pilot when I get off of active duty and I have many years left to go. This bill would strip me of my dream and the ability to provide for my family in a career field that I would excel in. Why make me choose a different job or path? This is not any different then any ither available career path. Please keep flight training in the post 9/11 and food in my family after my service to this great country is over.REPORT COMMENTS

It's already hard enough as it is to use your benefits for flight training. I tried using Voc Rehab to pay for flight training and they told me I had to get a private pilot license first. That can cost upwards of $20,000 out of my own pocket just for the chance that they "might" approve additional training. That's a pretty big investment to make for something that isn't a guarantee. Maybe if they lowered the salaries of all the VA employees who are making six figures a year then there would be plenty of money left over for the people who really need it. Do a quick search on USAJOBS and it will make you sick to see what some of these people are making. The Veterans Administration should be renamed the Veterans Abomination!!!! I'm just going to assume that I will never get flight training paid for by this insanely corrupt organization.REPORT COMMENTS

I am an Active Duty Marine Transitioning out within the next year, I plan on attending flight school. For all that the Military Members give up between multiply back to back deployments and time away from families, we owe it to our nations veterans to continue to allow them to use the GI Bill to fund these programs.REPORT COMMENTS
