I'm a Coast Guard veteran with 16 years of active duty and over 18 years of total service. I'm a member of the reserves and still serving my nation. Please don't limit my future by capping the GI Bill I have worked so hard to earn. I am awaiting to begin flight training and this cap will make it financially impossible for me to become a commercial pilot. I think it is a big mistake to take away the mean for our Veterans to pursue a career in order to integrate back into society, especially after they sacrificed and placed their lives in danger for us to enjoy the freedom we have. As a service member of the United States Army and having served in remote locations and made sacrifies that are not entilted however, because the United States Government wants to play chess with soldiers and their families and the benifits they recieve for making those sacrifices now these folks are the pawns for governmental officals. I believe that in the pursuit of happiness and for a career in which ever field a service member chooses should be wide open for those oppertunites. I am trying to get my Degree and trying to get into flying. I served and deployed in USMC. I am going through the flight program and I think that without this bill we won't have any good long hour pilots that become that pilot that saves your life picking you up in a helicopter only to kill you because he was a private pay with very little hours and no experience because of the lack of students he teach and the hours he builds.REPORT COMMENTS
