Please, allow to have males to have congujal visit who are Lifers. Its unfair that women and gays who are lifers get it, so what about the men and their family. Every weekend, not a day miss I have been going to see my husband with our son and how they treat us of a simple touch is not allow. Not allow to the hair or the face and children will be not understanding this. They are human too, as the one s who change and just try to live their lives shouldn't be treated like cage dogs who get pet here on weekend and that's it. Times we just want to be a family, what hurts is my husband went to school, work, and just live. All they have left is a name and their reputation, can they at least have their family and not punish the ones who love them too.REPORT COMMENTS

We all have wronged, but to take away family visits, and intimacy between a husband and wife is just inhumane! If those in congress would just trade places for one (1) day, could they do it? Family visits are a vitally important part of corrections and rehabilitation ~ especially for lifers. It is also a productive mangement tool for CDCR Officers. Prison is the punishment. Unfortuneately, there are casualties of this scenerio, they are the mothers, fathers, children, grandchildren, siblings etc. Inmates are removed from society. Family members should not be punished too, they should be allowed the opportunity to rehabilitate as a family unit. This opportunity should be granted as a reward, based on the inmates ability to program positively...an earned priviledge based on behavior, not time sentenced. Lifers are the ones who need family visits the most. Give families the opportunity to heal.REPORT COMMENTS

I believe lifers and their families need family visits more then anything. It gives there children and wives a chance to bond and renew that connection which in turns helps the inmate remember what he is working for, a couple days a month of a somewhat normal enviroment. I chance to do things that everyone in the world takes for granted, The things we dream of everyday, just to watch tv, cook, play with your child, those little moments of laughs and smiles to say goodnight to our loved ones as a family, to kiss their children goodnight, thats what helps to make to the next visit to renewed those moments again. I would give anyting to be able to wake up my husband with a kiss and a good mornig, for him to be woken up by our children climbing in bed saying there hungry those are the lasting memories that we all need. If It works in NY why not here? Please gives us our family visits. Let us renew connection with our loved ones.REPORT COMMENTS
