They may have done something wrong, but why should they be denied love and compassion? We may not have so many problems in the prisons as we have if they knew they have something to look forward to. Please have compassion for all.Jun 12th, 2011Someone from Fresno, CA signed.

16 year old kid tried as an adult - didn't commit murder and couldn't stop it from happening - but because he was there he does life... THIS CAN HAPPEN TO ANYONES KID... Yep - even politicians. Please - My WHOLE family is doing a life sentence because there are no family visits. The unfair punishments and disregard for human life at the hands of law makers, politicians and the department of corrections in California has got to stop somewhere.REPORT COMMENTS

I am a wife to a lifer and fighting for an appeal because it was out of self- defense. The lawyer who first handle it bailed on my husband when his family no longer can't pay after 50,000 and a public defender who didn't know case was replace didn't try. They say they can't mention the other guy had a gun cause it was tampered with because CSI mess up the scene and some of the evidence with it. Because how prison is, it is every hard not to get in a fight and it push our appeal twice. While waiting we would like to have conjugal visit so we could have better quality family moment and our son don't have to be pulled away once it hit 2 pm. We can actual sleep as a family, Just be a family, it may not be much, but something and that what it counts. To be with the one we love, to keep close into our heart. We don't have to worry to be kick out by expressing ones emotion by a hand touching a face or to comfort your love in your arm, and you guys can benefit out of this too. They pay $25-50 like the hotel then food that can help our city revenue. We are all human and not cage up animals who get limitation. The ones who tries in there, by school and work. They are just trying to live, so please and don't punish us cause we love them. This isn't men who out there raping, child or women killers, and serial killers... They have nothing but their name and reputation left... could you just give their family quality time too and make it a win win situation... just please...REPORT COMMENTS

i know if u give lifers a chance to have more time with there familys...they would always be looking forward, for the next visit from there familys...then maybe there wouldnt be as much violence...Sometimes people make mistakes, but Sometimes...they'er already in there for life. Why not give them the chance to bond with there familys.....REPORT COMMENTS

My husband was convicted of a crime he did not commit and has been sentenced to a life term in prison. Please allow my husband and I to have family visits. All marriages need intimacy and inmates and their spouse's are no exception. I see the pain in my husbands eyes when I cry and he cannot even comfort me because it is against prison rules to touch each other. As a man I know you can understand his pain and as a women you can understand mine and so many others that are in our shoes. Please give conjugal visits back to inmates serving life sentences. Thank you.REPORT COMMENTS
