This man has suffered enough after being wrongly arrested, incarcerated for 35 years and now very ill. Please free this man and help him with his health.

Numerous NGOs have confirmed that, on the basis of the factual record, Mr. Peltier is a political prisoner. Even if Mr. Peltier were guilty, which the factual record does not seem to indicate, he is still entitled to his basic human rights even as a prisoner. One of these rights is having access to competent medical treatment.

It is unthinkable that the United States should have political prisoners, and especially one innocent of any wrongdoing. The time of vilifying Native Americans must end. The FBI and its agents need to be held accountable for their actions. Leonard deserves executive clemency, and humane treatment. He needs real medical treatment that only a high quality facility can offer. To condemn this innocent man to death is murder.

This man has suffered enough he deserves not only medical treatment but a full pardon and apology. If you examine the evidence. you'll see for yourself. there not one shred of proof against him. the witnesses were coersed by the governments own admission. the ballistics prove Leonard was not the shooter. The bullets match the federal agents guns not his. This was an attempt by our FBI/OR CIA to shut down the American Indian Movement and they badly bludered it. Remember Ruby Ridge and Waco this is a nother/earlier example of that type of performance. he has spent 30 yrs inprison for something he did not do. He is now dying and can not get medical help. He should be moved to minnesota granted a pardon and given an official apology from the current government. Whatever is being covered up will not die with him. Eventually the truth must come out. he has surpassed due process by double. today a Pan Am bomber who killed 260 people and has served only 8yrs was released for his illness. Leonard has spent 30yrs in prison AND DID NOT DO IT. HE IS INNOCENT....Help Him Please

i already commented on this. i have more to say the petition to free him has been closed. Has anyone read this case. there is ample proof of agency misconduct. There is not one pice of evidence linking Leonard to any crime. The government has already conceded to false witness testimony and the ballistics prove non involvement due process has been exceeded ...Its clear the agencies wanted to bring down the American Indian Movement Leonard was the only person to be prosecuted and without a shred of proof to his involvement....He'll die in prison for a crime he did not commit.

This game that is being played here is both unethical and inhumane. Is the U.S. government showing itself to be worst than third world countries by denying someone medical attention and allowing the suffering? Take "In God we trust" off those $$$Dollar bills, what is being show by this lack of action is pure evil.

This man has been a political prisoner for too long. He should have never been convicted, an this wrong should be made right, by a Congress and a President who claim to have strong moral values. Now that his health is failing he should be removed from the confines of prison walls, and taken, as any sick or injured person should be, to a high quality medical facility that can care for him adequately. To allow him to suffer a slow painful death, for lack of necessary treatment is more than cruel and unusual punishment, it is murder.
