I am Labor & Delivery RN -- postpartum hemorrhage has skyrocketed, likely due to induction of labor. Women need more informed consent and society needs to know the real status of safe maternal care in US. Many factors of intervention in the care model are putting our women in danger. Bring in the midwives! Make OB doctors present in the hospital, not phoning it in from the office and trying to arrange births around their office and life obligations.
