Please streamline legal immigration system. We came to US with legitimate paperwork, yet have to wait for years to get our green card, to be able to switch jobs. If an employee is stuck with a single employer for a lot of years, I feel its not good for either party and to the nation's economy as a whole. I am originally from India, came to US to pursue higher education when I was young, but now I eat, drink, sleep and think like American, yet I am still not eligible to get a green card if not citizenship, all because of a huge wait line. While my peers who came from other countries got their green cards, became documented citizens and progressing in their career by switching jobs every 4 years on average. I also get humiliated sometimes by these friends who look back at us like we are still stuck in the same old position. I don't have enough information to comment on what needs to be done specifically at USCIS, DHS level but in one line if there is anything you can do to reduce the huge green card backlog for EB category, that will be of great help. For example, you could call for a single line for all countries instead of one line per country. Just a thought. Hope this comment helps in a way like a drop in a ocean.

The requirements for H1B is not a per country basis and given that the population of the world is not evenly distributed per country I am not sure how the current per country limitation gives a fair chance to citizens from different countries.

We surely need some kind of reform in this area considering all the challenges one has to go through and a long wait queues for years. There should be a uniform process irrespective of country of origin.

Please eliminate the per-country limit for employment based immigration. I have been waiting for 8 years for my green card.

Given that the population of the world is not evenly distributed per country I am not sure how the current per country limitation gives a fair chance to citizens from different countries. Please address this fundamental per country limit so that it gives a fair chance for everyone across the globe, to the country that is the land of dreams, America.

This will be great step, please support the bill. Because being at the same level of skills and experience a person from one part of the world get GC in months and other part of the world has to wait more than 10 year? That discrimination is not fare.
