My doctor pushed me to take this shot for severe endometriosis, 33 days later I blacked out, went to the emergency room which I was diagnosed with Multiple Pulmonary Embolism's! Because of this I am now on blood thinner's for the rest of my life and I will never be able to have children at the age of 29!

I have opted for an oophorectomy to avoid this medication. After my first injection, I became violently ill with intense bone pain, fatigue, nausea, mood swings, panic attacks, migraines, horrible hot flashes and night sweats. I was told by my doctor I needed to do these injections for 8 more years. I can't handle these side effects for that long as it profoundly impacts my quality of life.

Depo Lupron should be taken off the market immediately! I was directed by my doctor to complete as many months as possible to destroy a uterine fibroid. I went into immediately into menopause. My life changed forever. Bones hurting , hot flashes that haven't stopped, weight changes, and my health has spiral out of control.

I am no longer who I was. I am 36 yrs old and lupron has ruined my life. I can barely walk, my career has been effected, I can't go on living like this. I stopped lupron, however I never was the same. I'll never be the sane, and I'm lost as to how to go on in life like this.

I was pushed to take this drug as a treatment for my severe endometriosis. I was informed that is will put my body into menopause, thus ceasing the growth of the endometriosis. I took it 6 months, and they wanted to do more. I had horrible horrible side effects, that still 7 years later are still affecting me. There was not enough information given to me on this, and what the doctors did was beyond misleading. I had NO idea it was a chemotherapy drug. . . . how sad

The side effects of this drug is agonizingly painful, and in my case, did not help at all. Had I known the possible severity of the side effects, I would not have agreed to be injected with it. It took me hours each morning to even be able to get out of bed. I was unable to write, had constant migraines, and horrible hot flashes. It was all for naught.

I was injected every three months for ten years by a doctor at Kaiser here in Northern CA for the painful endometreosis I endured for years. The shots stopped around 10 years ago because I no longer had medical coverage. The long term side effects have begun to take its toll. My muscle mass has shrunken and I am loosing weight at an alarming rate (and I have a very big appetite). What can I do to counter these long term side effects? Thank you for being out there and letting people know what's going on.

I was prescribed Lupron at the end of 2014 (3 months until I absolutely refused further treatment) for adenomyosis and fibroids. I've since suffered greatly due to arthritic symptoms, exacerbated hypertension, migraine headaches, fainting / falling incidents, development of eczema and the list goes on. This has cost me almost 2 years of my life including being out of work on disability.

My husband has prostate cancer. Urologist, after consulting with his colleagues, gave him a Lupron injection. To repeat in 4 months. Never said it was chemo. Only side effects hot flashes and so.e fatigue. Did not have him sign anything. As a last minute gesture offered the insert that comes with the drug. He said most people don't read it but I wanted one anyway. Now I am reading all the people's reports and this is outrageous! Take it off the market!

When I was 17 I took Lupron as suggested by my doctor to help with my painful periods. I experienced a lot of side effects from this medication along with mood swings and severe depression. I wouldn't recommend taking this medicine.

While I have experienced some side effects from Lupron, I am desperate for relief and Lupron is the only thing besides a hysterectomy to ease the debilitating side effects from PCOS and Endometriosis. I want to be informed if I am causing my body more harm by continually taking this drug. I don't want a hysterectomy but if this drug can kill me or has the possibility of killing me, I think I deserve the right to know. The only thing my doctors have advised me of is possible bone loss with repeated doses. If there are other more severe or long term side-effects then I should be made aware of these possible side-effects as noted above. Please do the right thing! You are affecting people's lives and their ability to have a decent quality of life. No amount of money can replace someone's life and what they mean to those that they love. I have had 10 Lupron injections of varying doses. Some for three months and some injections were monthly. I NEED to know if I am slowly killing myself by continuing this treatment!

I was never told that Lupron was A Chemotherapy drug. I had 3 rounds for a total of 27 shots. Twenty (20) years later I am still suffering from the side effects. Muscle pain & weakness, bone & joint pain, low grade fevers, thinning hair, headaches. This drug is dangerous & needs to be taken off the market.

After just three weeks, I went from being the strongest, peppiest, healthiest looking person people know to being barely able to communicate, walk, move, feed myself, etc. I look 10 years older and malnourished. I havn't even finished college and now that looks like an impossible task. No hopes or dreams for me. I am practically a vegetable. I was in a life or death situation and was told this was my only option, however. I wonder if it would be my only option if things were different. I could have gotten surgery instead.

Lupron is a HORRENDOUS drug that needs to be taken off the market! I was told that "I had to take Lupron of I wanted the endo to stay away". Desperate, I agreed to 6 months of Lupron therapy. I did NOT KNOW this was a chemo drug until I started having side effects. The docs told me that I would have mild side effects and that I could go about my life. Well, it effected me like a any chemo drug. I vomited everyday for 6 months, could sleep, night sweats, hair loss and extreme lethargy. I have never been so miserable in my life! And I was working a new job where I had to prove myself so I had "get over it" and go to work even working weekends. It was HORRIBLE!!!!! Women need to know what kind of drug this is!!!!! The docs make it sounds like it's no big deal and that it will be a miracle drug for endo.

My 86 year old father was given a Lupron shot for advanced prostate cancer. I was against it because of all the side effects, but his oncologist told him it would make him feel better (he was in no distress feeling no pain). He, of course, opted to do what the doctor said. After receiving the shot, hewas hospitalized 4 days later with extreme weakness to his lower extremities, swollen feet, and his mentation is getting worse every day (very confused and now seeing things that aren't there). I am SO upset, especially when the doctor says he can't understand what happened to him and why this is happening to him...REALLY!! This is day 7 after the shot and I pray he can get past this :(
