I just read this article and everyone's posts....I am having a full on panic attack hearing all this. I have been on Lupron injections three different times. Im not even sure how many total shots I have taken. I feel like this information explains alot, yet I am considering going back on Lupron. I have experienced alot of the side effects everyone else has mentioned on here. But I also suffer from crohn's disease, which can cause some of these symptoms also, as Ive been told. I know someone else out there has endometriosis as severe as myself. The unbearable cramping, the nonstop bleeding, and in my case, my uterus actually contracts on its own. As if I am in true labor. Its horrible and constantly effects my quality of life. There are times where I believe I can live with some of the other symptoms to be relieved of the endometriosis effects. But now I am also concerned for my health in the future, knowing that this medication can potentially be so harmful. Crazy thing is, I also only have one child, who I became pregnant with while I was on Lupron. I have yet to conceive since then too. This is alot to take in...but I agree to the fullest that alot more of this information should have been presented to me before I ever began any type of treatment with this drug.Mar 30th, 2016Someone from Raleigh, NC signed.

Since when do we not hold anyone accountable anymore?!?! Ladies, there is power in numbers. We need to ALL voice our concerns to the right people. Write your senators, write your state representatives. The more complaints that are brought about, the more serious they will take our complaints. The more and more I am researching, the more and more angrier I am becoming. OUR DOCTORS AND DRUG COMPANIES NEED TO STOP USING HUMAN BEINGS AS GUINEA PIGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have been Abbott's human trial and it has GOT TO STOP.REPORT COMMENTS

I would have never gotten a Lupron injection if I had known more about it before hand. Patients should at least be given the proper information before consenting to any treatment.REPORT COMMENTS

I was one of the first in my state to receive Lupron for endometriosis, stage 4. I trusted my longtime doctor and friend to give me the best treatment for the horrible condition which covered my entire abdomen and attached all my vital abdominal organs together, even my liver! I have 2 college degrees that I can't even use anymore because I had to go on permanent disability, my immune system is very weak, and fibromyalgia symptoms began shortly after the Lupron treatments ended. I miscarried after my only pregnancy, just 3 months after treatment ended, and am sure my baby boy died at 16 weeks because he had chemotherapy in his system. I have tried to warn the younger generation many times in groups about the dangers of Lupron, how doctors and pharmaceutical companies make out with every dose they give, all the while not knowing or sharing long term side effects, even death, of this awful drug. It needs to be illegal, now!!!REPORT COMMENTS

Lupron and Parkinson's Disease: In the mid-to-late nineties I took a 3-month dose of Lupron for severe hormone problems (poly-cystic ovarian disease) and was never the same again. After the first month-long injection I begged my doctor not to give me more but he insisted and I regertably caved under pressure and did the three-month course of injections. I have had severe health problems ever since. I had crippling pain throughout my body especially in my hips radiating down my legs. It hurt to sit, stand, walk. It was debilitating and I ended up on opiate pain meds. It was unbearable for months on-end. Eventually it dissipated but my body was never the same again. Three years ago I was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease which hit my left leg first. Of course no one can say for sure whether Lupron was the culprit but I believe this drug impacted not only my immune system but my body in many very adverse ways. Parkinson's disease does NOT run in my family. If I had to guess at what may have caused it I would say Lupron. I would caution anyone to really investigate before using this very powerful drug. There can be very serious long-lasting side effects. I regret ever taking it and blame the doctor for pushing me into this treatment which did nothing but cause pain and anguish for years. Please beware!!!REPORT COMMENTS

My immune system is gone and still dealing with other emerging health issues after only 3 once per month treatments...pharmaceutical companies do not have the right to use people like guinea pigs all in the name of profits, not only for themselves but the doctors receiving kickbacks for prescribing this drug. This cover up is going to have the lid blown off due to the demands placed on medical care and social assistance required after treatment with this drug.REPORT COMMENTS

I took this in 1999, I was 19 years old, for endometriosis. I knew it put me in temporary menopause but that's all I knew. I had hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, depression, suicidal thoughts, increased pelvic pain and these symptoms continued even after I stopped the injection. I swore I would NEVER do it again. Well 2015 comes and I was told this was my only choice and that I wouldn't have those symptoms because they now use ad-back therapy. They were wrong! I experienced rapid weight gain, mood swings, hot flashes, increased pelvic pain...and there are more side effects. I was given the injection in June and they wanted to give me another in September but I refused. I started getting sick in August. Since then I've been diagnosed with bronchitis (numerous times), sinus infections (numerous times), asthma, shingles, and now...thrush. I did NOT know this was a type of chemotherapy and did not know it suppressed my immune system. I feel depressed and fatigued most all of the time. I have pain in my pelvis and lower back. I did not sign up for this. I am disgusted that I did not know what it was...I was not educated so that I could make an informed consent. My heart goes out to all those affected by this drug.
