Excessive force used by our officers needs to be stopped. Also the TAZER needs to be outlawed. It has caused many deaths across the United States. Unfortunately I know there may be situations where it would be helpful "BUT" too many times they are being used just for noncompliance to a command, however small. We had a worker here in our town that was having a medical issue sitting in the parking lot where he worked. The paramedics were called in and the police. He wouldn't get out of his truck which WAS NOT RUNNING, so an officer tazed him. It killed him. Make tazers illegal and put a stop to this excessive force!! Many people across the USA that are law abiding citizens are sick of this excessive force, tazing people for little to nothing, going through a traffic stop and ending up dead by officers who think they can abuse their position. OUTLAW EXCESSIVE FORCE, OUTLAW TAZERS!!!! -

just as truck drivers are held to a higher standard than non-professional drivers- so should officers be held to higher standards and more severe punishment than civilians. example of trucker is charged for dui at lower alcohol level than non-trucker even if driving personal auto off duty. why is it exactly the opposite for copsREPORT COMMENTS

My son is mentally ill and homeless he is 40 yrs old and has been beaten many times by the police. I am scared to death this will happen to him. Our gov. has taken away any funding for the mentally ill so now they put them in prison so they can be punished for being sick. What is wrong with our country that we used to love and be so proud of? I so want to go back in time when the policemen were respected because they earned our respect. I know there are some good cops but I feel sorry for them because we don't know who they are, they were the same uniform.REPORT COMMENTS

this is not saudi arabia nobody deserves to be beaten to death by those who's job by definition is to protect the weak & innocent & preserve the law. Justice must be done for Kelly who by virtue of his illness was both weak & innocent. but had a radiant soul i knew him and am livid that 6 police could not restrain a 150lb man who was in fear without beating him to death.
