These cops who beat Kelly Thomas should be tried for murder... the cops who stood around and watched should be charged with accessory to murder. Plain and simple.Aug 4th, 2011Someone from Houston, TX signed.

Wearing a badge DOES NOT make the police - judge, juror and executioner. I hope you lose your jobs, but we all know that won't happen, unfortunately.REPORT COMMENTS

Police brutality is unacceptable. Officers involved in such action should be held accountable and face justice the same as anyone else.REPORT COMMENTS

There is absolutely no reason why a video of 6 officers brutally beating a man to death does not warrant arrest and trial for murder. There's an investigation going on right now for what happened to Kelly Thomas, meanwhile the thugs who did this are still being paid. How can anybody honestly believe the officers were possibly trying to protect themselves? The victim was subdued and they murdered him, it is on tape. Which, by the way, there have been cases where taping an officer with audio has been found to be a criminal offense. This also needs to stop. We are in a situation where cops are abusing their positions of authority, refusing to police themselves, and prosecuting those who try to protect themselves from police brutality. This is nothing short of outrageous, and the level of force and the situations police officers can apply it must be curtailed, and stricter penalties for those who abuse their authority or fail to intervene when an abuse occurs must be imposed.REPORT COMMENTS

Police should be held to higher standard and protected from bad behavior. If this is what it takes to bring down the "blue line" so be it. Maybe if cops are aware that they will be held responsible for the actions of their peers they will act to stop them.REPORT COMMENTS

It is an outrage that we can't do something to prevent excessive force by the very people who are sworn to protect us!REPORT COMMENTS
