The army national guard plays a vital role is assisting the nation both at home and over seas. My husband works in an apache unit and are currently serving over seas. They have been commended for their work on the apaches and for their readiness. It would be a waste of talent to take the apache away from those who are already doing a praiseworthy job and it would be a waste of money as there would be retraining required for soldiers. Also the readiness of our country would suffer as we will see a loss of those willing to reenlist.Jan 16th, 2014Someone from Pittsburgh, PA signed.

my son-in-law and many more who have give unselfishly to the service of their country will loose their jobs and have to move their families yet again because of the governments short sightednessREPORT COMMENTS

Cutting capability in the Guard makes no sense, strategic or fiscal. We get great service from the Guard for a tiny fraction of the cost of the Active Force. This is a time to build up the Guard, not tear it down.REPORT COMMENTS

The National Guard is a viable fighting force, used heavily since 2011. The NG Service Members have proven they are proficient as the Active Duty Service Members. It would be an insult to those who have fought in Iraq and Afghanistan to take away the helicopters.REPORT COMMENTS
