In addition to the waste of $1.5 billion in 2012 investment, makes no sense to hinder the abilities of the National Guard who have now proven to be well prepared for active duty.

LTG Barklay's plan is fiscally irresponsible and puts our Nation's defense at risk. His boss, GEN Odierno advocates this parochial crap! The Guard operates at 1/3 the cost of the Army. Here's a simple solution: DISTRIBUTE 2/3 of the ARMY to the NATIONAL GUARD and 1/3 to the ACTIVE ARMY and reduce 30% of the flag officer positions. Keeps our nation strong and is affordable!

The Army has been planning to replace the OH-58 for 20+ years. The reason they haven't is because it's a proven asset. Instead of replacing it; they need to keep with the CASUP plan, which will update the fleet and make a proven, dependable airframe better.

19 years in the Guard, and once again, the Active Duty mentality has put it's "mission first" mentality in front of the M-day/traditional soldier's needs. You "Reps" always forget, it's the citizen soldier that votes you in. There's many jobs you will be eliminating. But, then again, you are in pretend land. I know you're worried about kickbacks and other $$ support that you need to further your political success. You make me sick. Army leaders, you guys need to pull your heads out. BTW, have you ever had a real job? You know, in the real civilian world? You need to put the Soldiers first. Their lives, their needs. Not what's best for the Army. That is a load of crap. The Soldiers are the Army/National Guard. Great way to say thank you to Guardsmen. For all their 18 month deployments. Great way to say thank you for leaving their civilian jobs. Army leaders, PULL YOUR HEADS OUT!

Quit giving these low life's all the help . .. Ex. Food stamps , free insurance ...the list goes on and on.... What makes me so mad is me and my husband work extremely hard and still struggle... We Can't even afford to get a load of oil for heat!!!! And then I go into work the other day and this crackhead girl with 4 kids . And a husband who is on disability for some fake injury says to me ... I get 700 dollars in foodstamps! Come on let the crackheads struggle not everyone of is who works hard and still can't catch a break... No better yet just give them extra money at tax time for making less than 10000 for the year and more for each kid they have just so they can get more from the government. It makes me sick?

The Guard is the constitutional military. The founding fathers wanted a small or non-existent standing army. In this day and time Senior Army Leadership should be concerned about what's right and cost effective instead of saving their own jobs,
