Please do the right thing! We need to act soon because if we keep going the way we are, this country and all it's supposed to stand for, will only be a memory.REPORT COMMENTS

i said this...maybe i should be a fukin advocate I was young when I got involved with the wrong people. I am now 28, graduated from college, and I still cannot find a job with my degree because of a federal felony. This is very discouraging. I'm not sure how the government expects us to become better people in society if no one will give us a second chance. Not everyone with a felony charge is a bad person. People can change. I hear politicians preach daily on how this change or that change can better our futures. The ones that do change deserve some consideration. I truly believe this is why we have so many repeat offenders. Some people are just not mentally strong enough to take rejection over and over so they turn back to what they know. I do not plan on becoming one of those people so I search each and every day for a form of employment, to no avail, so that I can put my childish past behind me. So that I can move forward on that promise I made to become a better citizen and person in society. I hope that my day will come soon.REPORT COMMENTS

Please strongly consider this. We need to allow people a "fresh start" after they have served their time. Not doing so only causes further incentive/need to re-offend, and an inability to earn a living and a decent life.REPORT COMMENTS

An excellent means of ensuring some kind of "fresh start" is to finally make it possible for people to expunge their records.REPORT COMMENTS
