Charged with a misdemeanor due to ignorance of the law and miscommunication. I was treated like an animal. I will love for my story to be told to serve an example of the broken court system.REPORT COMMENTS

I have 2 felonies , theft related crimes at 17 & 18 yrs old. I'm now a 34 year old dad with degrees in Architecture & Engineering. Have not been in trouble since then, which seems like a lifetime ago. I've put in tons of hard work and fortunately employed by the government due to knowing the right people in the right places. Otherwise I would be doomed, having submitted hundreds of CV's and applications proves that I am being disqualified because of my record. This needs to change.REPORT COMMENTS

As long as the infraction did not include bodily harm and all provisions have been satisfied- LET THESE CITIZENS LIVE & SUPPORT THEIR FAMILIES. This is inhumane & barbaric.REPORT COMMENTS

I think it is discriminatory that Michael Vick a person who tortured animals beyond measure and should be a role model for young people gets a free pass but the President fails to show the same compassion to help thousands of disenfranchised American citizens who paid their debt to society who aren't as lucky as Vick get a second change. This should be passed in all states so these people can get decent jobs and contribute to society. Anyone can make a mistake.REPORT COMMENTS

I don't feel its fair. Even tho I don't have any felonies, I do know felons. My brother Timothy being one. He's a great person and human being. Its not right that he paid his debt to "society" and has NEVER been in trouble since but still has this hanging over him like a dark cloudREPORT COMMENTS

I just want my life back its not about a job its about a chance a fair chance. I can do a lot with a fair chance but I useless with no chance at all. I need this badly. I don't want any hand outs I know what hard work is just to be given the opportunity to grab what u couldn't is worth more than words can say.
