In addition: I would like to see a bill designating FLETC as the only national academy for all Federal Law Enforcement Officers. This would also truly save money and get all agencies on the same page. Creating standardised training to avoid confusion during joint operations and would allow these Fed LEOs the ease of transferring between agencies preventing unnecessary spending on retraining. Currently many under the current system many officers are forced to attend multiple academies upon transferring having to learn the exact same thing from one academy to another. For example: I've attended four Academies during the course of my career and have held academy level instructor certification training other officers on the same material. Durin my last academy I spend most of my time sending in the back of class trying to stay awake, didn't need to study or prepare for our exams yet came in second in the class. I felt it was a waste of time and money to have me attend a course that I my self am qualified to teach. Furthermore, my time in a field training program only lasted one week because I didn't need to be evaluated and was able to work without supervision right away. Another example of fraud waste and abuse. Thank you for your time.REPORT COMMENTS
