Once a citizen who is convicted of a crime is finished serving their time, and has "paid that debt to society" they should be allowed to vote. and as far as I am concerned, NO-VIOLENT criminals who neither transgressed agaisnt another individual or another individual's property (for instance the millions of drug user arrested a year) should NEVER serve time in a prison to begin with.REPORT COMMENTS

The Fresh Start Act will allow many good individuals a fair opportunity to pursue their own "American dream." "Forgiveness" can and should be given to those who've truly paid their debt to society. Those individuals who are opposed to the proposed bill evidently never made mistakes in their lives, which they were somehow punished for. I guess they live(d) in "glass" houses.REPORT COMMENTS
