Civil Contempt is meant to be coersive not punitive. Locking an idivivdual up for inability to pay is punitive and illegal. Unless there is factual proof of present ability to pay a court is not supposed to be able to jail an individual. If you where to take a census of those presently locked up for child support. I would imagine the vast majority do not have the ability to pay and are there illegally. This needs to change.STOP ILLEGALLY LOCKING UP INNOCENT AMERICANS !!!REPORT COMMENTS

They took my grandsons sister after I raised her from birth to 17 months. Besides the DCF violating rules & Florida statutes, the judge violated federal laws, the code of judicial conduct and adopted her out while I still had 2 open appeals. That adoption happened really quick as if they had profiled for a back door adoption.REPORT COMMENTS

My grandson was kidnapped from me by DCF after 5 cops refused to remove him from my home. At the removal hearing DCF knowingly lied about me in order to 'seal the deal'. Two years later the inspector general passed my complaints to DCF to 'investigate' who informed me my grandson wasn't removed from me!! The magnitude of this corruption is evil! My grandson was in MY care! DCF lied about ME in family court!! The way kids are unethically ripped away from family is unconstitutional and family court plays a huge role in this corruption!REPORT COMMENTS

Who is monitoring the "money-hungry" domestic attorneys, taking advantage of emotionally disturbed or irrational individuals in divorces, particularly ones with children? Can someone explain to the irrational spouse that they just paid their attorney $150,000 to put their attorney's kids through college and have nothing left for their own four boys. Again, who's monitoring the attorneys? Not sure who was crazier, the ex-spouse or the attorney playing a game with my and my children's life/future.REPORT COMMENTS

Trying to give my granddaughter a better life. Her mom is on drugs and lives in a slum area of Salem, MA DCF has been involved 5 times and my son is going to court for custody. They keep favoring the Mom. My granddaughter doesn't stand a chance with a normal life if the system keeps her with her Mother. My son can offer a stable normal environment. The court order my son to take hair follicle test for drugs and he paid out of pocket and passed. The Mom was ordered she never did, told the court mediator she was on drugs. The judge over looked this and said she would have drug tested its been 3 months the courts never contacted her or gave her a drug test yet. I NEED help my granddaughter needs a better life.REPORT COMMENTS

Seems like the problem is the same in all 50 States and other countries. Here in Illinois, I have evidence of Federal and State Criminal activity in family court and I can not get anyone to do anything about it. Children are Hostage to this terrible injustice. We need to End Judicial Immunity & start fixing our Corrupt Family Court Systems. What people are not looking at is Social Security Title IV D which rewards the states matching Federal funds for monies collected in the form of Child Support. The courts don't care about the "Best interest of Children", they care about "Best interest of Court!" They divide the family with lies and fraud and in the end, its all about the Money! My documentary and book titled "Child Hostage" will be a nice follow up to the film "Divorce Corp" only from the vantage point of the children and damage to them and our society.
