Spokane County Supreme Court Judge Maryann Moreno gave my husband full custody of our 12 year old son, and me full custody of our 18 year old high school senior daughter. She gave him her blessings to relocate our son 3000 miles away in the Washington DC area, away from his two sisters, his 89 year old grandfather, and many aunts, uncles and cousins, stating, "You cannot deny a child the opportunity to live in our nation's capital". During our trial, my husband stated he was only relocating temporarily for six months. When judge Moreno was handing down her decision, my husbands attorney stated that this relocation was for at least one year. The judge stated that she did not hear that during the trial, that it was only for 6 months, but that her decision would be the same whether it was a temporary or permanent relocation. She stated that I would have every other weekend, & 5 weeks in the summer, but only in His residential area. When my attorney asked about the transportation arrangements for our son to come to my residential area for these visitations, Judge Moreno shook her head no and stated, "He's not coming back." She also stated, I don't know how you're going to do it, I really don't know how you're going to do it." For me to fly to Virginia for a weekend visit would cost almost $3000. For me to spend 5 weeks in Virginia, in a hotel room with my son, eating out everyday, paying for a rental car, and paying for some sort of activities to keep him from going crazy staying in a hotel for five weeks would be financially devastating to me, if it were even possible to get 5 weeks of vacation time from a job! Judge Moreno house in fact made it financially impossible for me to see my child ever again, and has made no provisions for him to see his two sisters ever again. This is not in my son's best interest nor in my daughter's best interest. She has torn this family completely apart, and torn our son and daughters completely apart, with her disastetous decision. Her decision did not consider th e devestating affect on the close bonds of our children with each other, our sons bonds with me, or his extended family. this decision was only in the selfish intetests of my husband. My husband and I were separated for the 16 months prior to the divorce, as I had to take a position 300 miles across the state in order to continue to be employed. In that 16 months, I made 32 trips across the state to be able to be with our children and my husband allowed me only 14 visits with our son. Judge Moreno stated, because our children and I had been separated for that amount of time, that another year of separation from my son would not make any difference. I have not seen my son for over 2 months, nor has he seen his sisters, 89 year old grandfather, or any of his relatives. This has been excruciatingly painful and beyond devastating. The death of my infant daughter was not as horrible as this ordeal. I do not t

It's sad that these children are alienated from Parents . Children need both to actively love them so they don't feel lost. Injustice is done in family Court daily. Please have an undercover agent sit in for a day or two they will see that they make up their own Laws. Parents have no rights. You can have 2 of the same cases and the outcome won't be the same please investigate Family Courts?

These laws need to be reformed. My husband pays too much chikd support and his child's mother sits at home collecting SSI, Foodstamps,Section8 and TANF Welfare. While , we are behind on all bills.
