I had full custody. Ex kidnapped my daughter to Dominican Republic for 6 years. FBI arrested her and put her in jail. My daughter told the courts she was abused. Ex came out of jail. They removed my full custody and gave it to her on no grounds !!! Now my daughter is gone again. This legal system is biased and disgusting.REPORT COMMENTS

The Family Court System need to make some healthy changes, It is about our children's rights and the equality Parental's Rights. The best interest for the child is to have both healthy parents, that can provides a good and healthy environment to ensure a bright and healthy future for them, educate them ,so we can raise a well-productive man/woman for this country by show them and teach them about respect to their country, to their family, to society and to themselves, teach then how to cultivate integrity, morals values because at the end of their life thats is what make them a respectful and valuable human being. But all these happen and start at home with the collaborations, responsibilities and commitment of both parents, EQUALLY!REPORT COMMENTS

Father's have rights to. EQUAL RIGHTS TO THEIR CHILDREN. Family court is always wanting the father to show proof, but what about the mother where is the mother made to PROVE why the father can't be in a child's life? How is it OK for a mother to withhold a child from the father? How is it OK in the family court that a mother can lie? Hello??? She didn't make that child on her own. There are millions of stand up men, how about you all start looking at the individual I stead of treating every father as he is dirt under your shoe...cause I can promise there are father's that want their rights and they won't stop u til both parents are treated equallyREPORT COMMENTS

The current system is highly dysfunctional and damaging to families. It provides strong financial incentives for attorneys to prolong the process by not negotiating in good faith for what actually would be in the interest of their clients in order to bill for massive legal expenses that leave most families in severe financial stress while enriching the attorneys. A system of mandatory mediation, without allowing attorneys to be present or to participate, such as was very successful for my child custody agreement in Somerset county, NJ, would be tremendously beneficial if extended to the entire divorce process.REPORT COMMENTS

Its time power was given back to parents in the day to day decisions regarding parental choices. It is supposed to be that way still but cps for example does not adhere to this idea AT ALL in my case.REPORT COMMENTS

Please stop destroying families. The long term damage being done by "family courts" is irreversible. The term Family Court is a joke itself. Just change the name to Lawyers piggy bank court.REPORT COMMENTS

Unless you have forced 50/50 parenting as a standard of custody you encourage divorce. Why work out problems when you can leave, take your best ammunition for hurting the other person AND make them pay you a tax free check. Sounds better than any job I've ever had. Child Support is MONEY driven but children need WAY more support from a parent than a check. There are hundreds of thousands of parents who cannot accomplish that 4 days a month.REPORT COMMENTS
