This policy has run its course, dialog has begun with Cuba. This policy creates an undo burden to our surrounding neighbors sovereign rights. Because of these illegal immigrants goal to reach the US they invade other countries and demand their rights. Our social programs are bursting at the seams and we have wave after wave of illegal immigrants from Cuba taking advantage of this outdated policy. This policy must be stopped even at the risk of upsetting the Republican Cuban base in Florida. US born citizens and naturalized citizens have difficulty receiving the level of social help these illegal immigrants receive. -

The wet foot dry foot policy should be considered a form of racism. No other immigrants has it this easy so why should they? The hardships that they face in their country are the same as a lot of others. Too many natural born AMERICANS can't get the same type of assistance that these Cubans get on arrival. They leave their country looking for a better opportunity but if you watch the news they come here and misuse and take advantage of the help they get.
