Please get rid of the switching and keep DST, as we enjoy the extra daylight in the evening, but do not enjoy the hour kept and hour lost of sleep.REPORT COMMENTS

Please either eliminate daylight savings time or make it permanent. Changing our clocks twice a year is a pain. Please make it stop! Thank you for your consideration. Susan NeilsenREPORT COMMENTS

As a physicist and an engineer, I know that the reasons for changing the clocks are wrong - it does not save power, it does not supply any more daylight, and it only causes confusion in international business schedules. In additions, we throw the entire nation into jet lag twice a year for no reason.REPORT COMMENTS

Aside from all the valid points listed below regarding schedule disruptions, added economic costs, lack of energy savings, the minor change in peoples sleep schedules related to daylight savings time results in more traffic fatalities during the time switch. Here is an article from TIME magazine on the topic. http://time.com/3549442/daylight-saving-time-traffic-deaths/ End daylight savings time now!REPORT COMMENTS

Changing our clocks has never increased the number of hours of sunlight in a day. There is no evidence of energy savings from this dumb practice. Stay back, stay ahead, or jump 1/2 an hour then LEAVE IT!REPORT COMMENTS

Please leave the clocks alone. Stop messing with it. Just stop. The sun comes up and goes down as it should. We save nothing. No extra time is saved...it is lost by losing that hour. It makes us sick. If someones desires to get up earlier, than they should do so themselves and leave the rest of us alone. Same for staying up later.REPORT COMMENTS

What is wrong with normal sunrise and sunset times year round, based off mother nature time table, Why do we have to continue to disrupt our schedule lives to please those that require more evening sunlight.REPORT COMMENTS

Too many brush this off as a non issue. they simple dismiss the effect it causes on all of us, simply to preserve a extra hour of evening sunlight. It is a huge issue that needs more attention to help bring this insanity to an end.REPORT COMMENTS

The practice of changing to Daylight savings time should STOP. It saves nothing in fact I bet it cost more. People drive more (gas Consumption) outside mowing more, running air conditioners longer while the sun is out and it disturb's people biological clocks and that's not even adding the cost of this going back and forth. What is wrong with you people? Stop this awful practice it is not necessary and saves no energy.REPORT COMMENTS

Please bring an end to this ritual where we change our clocks back and forth twice every year. It serves absolutely no benefit to anyone, only to result in people feeling groggy for a week because their sleep patterns have been disrupted. The people who relish in the extra evening daylight are doing it at the cost of darker mornings, when their kids are at school bus stops in the morning, and at the cost of more morning traffic accidents. Sure, you may not use your electric lights as much in the evening, but you will be using them in the morning when it is still dark outside. Six of one, half-dozen of the other. With LED lights and other energy saving technologies, I challenge anyone to show me the benefits that DST would have on energy consumption. This is an outdated strategy from WWI and WWII. I, for one, would prefer to keep standard time all year long. Standard time is based on nature's patterns of daylight. Winter daylight is shorter and summer daylight is longer - that's nature. People will adjust much easier to a gradual change in daylight than the drastic change that an hour makes when you change the clocks. Please, lets make standard time the standard all year long and end this annoying practice of changing our clocks.REPORT COMMENTS
