It was one thing when there was only one clock and a watch to change in a household. Now that we have multiple time pieces and numerous appliances dependent upon the current time, it has become absurdly ridiculous to have to deal with this hideous and unnecessary law. Get rid of it! -

Daylight savings time is a monument to the stupidity of man. It is a national embarrassment and needs to stop . 2 or 3 states do not participate in this outrage and we should follow their lead. Abolish the thing already, it serves no purpose and is completely ridiculous and without purpose.REPORT COMMENTS

People who say that "we need more daylight" or "it's less depressing" you clearly don't notice that the time of sunrise and sunset change independent of what time we say it is! Sunrise gets later and later from the winter solstice to the summer solstice, that's natural. So keeping our clocks on daylight savings time wouldn't make any sense, because it doesn't end up giving us extra time anyways. And some states in separate time zones would be on the same time. That's just stupid. Beyond the fact that earth naturally has cycles of later sunsets and earlier sunrises- there is research about the detrimental effects of daylight savings time. There are statistically higher rates of heart attacks, traffic accidents, even strokes around the time we change the clocks. Because we mess with people's circadian rhythms. And there is no evidence to show that it reduces energy consumption- if anything we consume more.REPORT COMMENTS

I think daylight saving time has out lived its purpose and needs to end. Farmers no longer need the daylight to work they have lights on their tractors so all this time change does is mess with a persons body twice a year for a couple weeks every year let’s end daylight savings timeREPORT COMMENTS

DST is just an antiquated practice that only aggravates people. It has no place in the modern world as our energy use is 24/7. It's not like we're just powering light-bulbs like they did in 1940. Day light savings time has no place in 2018.REPORT COMMENTS

This is such a stupid thing. no one likes it. I think we should jump ahead 30min and call it good for the rest of the year and stop messing with something that doesnt need to be messed with any more. You cant even train your body to wake and sleep at the same time every day if it keeps changing!REPORT COMMENTS

I do not support transitioning between Daylight Savings Time and Standard Time. As with any issue, there are supporters and detractors. Why not just split the difference? In lieu of moving the clock one hour either forward or back, move it a half hour and leave it there in perpetuity. This way would mitigate the drastic change we experience at the start and end of each day. Changing the clocks twice a year is a bad paradigm we are stuck in. We need to stop this fruitless practice.REPORT COMMENTS

This is a ridiculous practice and needs to be repelled. If it is really that critical why don't we combine EST and CST into one time zone and MST and PST into a second time zone? That way there is a happy medium and no more remembering to change clocks and SAD.REPORT COMMENTS

Why can't we make it a happy medium to suit both sides ? See if you sleep too much it's unhealthy and you get fat sitting around watching the TV or playing games ,if you live in the country and have chores to do which some people don't take into consideration ,you risk health problems because you work all day then try to bust your behind in traffic to get home to try to get your outside chores done either before it gets too dark to see or before the mosquitos take you off . So let's try for a happy medium and think of the other people's feelings too .REPORT COMMENTS
