Please DO something to ease the pain and eliminate the backlogs in the employment based immigration process, by supporting bills for visa recapture or increasing visa numbers. We have been waiting for years, some of us for over a decade and it's time that we get the much needed relief to get our green cards and get on with our lives in the pursuit of happiness.

Please understand that the enormous backlog also negatively affects people from the "rest-of-world" category also. Please, please do something to address this serious problem!

Dear Congress man, I would like to your attention on the plight and agony of law abide, socially responsible & honest tax payer skilled workers in USA like me. Who are waiting for their immigration status to be adjudicated for prolonged period. Job, Family , kids, housing, future (to name a few) everything revoles around the uncertainity in the EB process. I would honestly appriciate, if congress can pass - 1. The LOST IMMIGRATION VISA RECAPTURE bill at the earliest. 2. Abolish the per country limit quota (like H1B) Thanks, Subrata

Please refer to page 35 of CIS Ombudasman's report 2010 submitted to Congress. The statistics on unused visa number since 1992 to 2009 is presented in Figure 19. The sum total of unused visa under EB category is 506,410. Out of this figure, 180,039 visa numbers were re-captured by special legislation in the recent past. Please pass another legislation to re-capture the rest of the numbers. This is the best way to clear the backlog.

Ten long years of wait. Unsettled lifestyle. Visa numbers wasted. Cannot understand as to when lifespan is definitely limited, a permanent residency process in the most advanced country (system) in the world, drags on with no projections (what to expect) in sight. The highly disturbing thought is, why do illegal immigrants get priority and attention than legals who respect the immigration system??

I have studied and working in the country for 12 long yrs. Still a long way to go to get a permanent residency. Please reform the broken immigration system and exempt skilled professionals with advanced degrees holders from the annual cap or Add new category for advance degrees as was done for H1B annual cap. Illegals also needs to be brought to the main stream and made to pay fines and back-taxes that could help the deficit.

Recapture unused visas - best for people like me trapped in immigration mess. Give priority to us who are here legally and have been paying our taxes. It just irritates me that the government gives more importance to people who went here illegally.
