Please stop the cruel roundups. Our wild horse's rangelands have been shrinking immensley right out from under them since the 1971 Wild Horse & Burro Act was passed. We now have fewer horses living in the wild (

There is a better way. The Mustangs and Burros were given, by law, the use of the public lands and the protection of the federal government. The current management system is not working and is far too expensive. Please STOP the round-ups and assign objective and knowledgable WILD horse experts to work with the federal government to collect accurate information and build a system that works. Members of Congress have asked, and been ignored and many of the public have asked and been stonewalled. Time for the BLM to be responsive to the entire public--not just the cattle, gas and mining sectors. Time to develop a humane and responsible and sustainable plan for the horses and burros.

The BLM is relentless and is out of control! This is very URGENT and it's LONG overdue to once and for all, end the needless and totally unnecessary removals of our wild horses off of their federally protected lands! The BLM has used false and inaccurate numbers and made-up reasons for their justification to remove 11,000 horses annually from their rangelands. These roundups are totally unnecessary and are part of a bigger plan that Dept of the Interior Secretary Ken Salazar wants to see all wild horses off of public lands, living confined in privately held "pastures"... lands purchased by taxpayers where the horses would live confinement. This is not what the 1971 Wild Horse & Burro Act called for...it called for the PROTECTION of the WILD HORSES, not the special interests..oil, gas, mining and cattle grazing. These should not take precedence over our wild horses..a beautiful symbol of the American West and such a large part of our national heritage. These beautiful, thriving (and healthy) horses deserve better than this. Let them live wild and free, and safe from the BLM once and for all!! PLEASE STOP THE CRUEL, INHUMANE ROUNDUPS! We need to head in a new direction for the TRUE management of our wild horses...one that actually DOES protect them and have their BEST interests in mind. The American people want our horses on our public lands, not in confined "pastures" in the Midwest or back east, where Interior Secretary Ken Salazar wants them! PLEASE listen to the AMERICAN PEOPLE...STOP ROUNDING UP OUR WILD HORSES!!

The BLM should be investigated for cruelty and inhumane treatment. They are our Hitler - rounding up horses and keeping them in holding cells, auctioned off by killer buyers, and threatening extermination while others are trying to open up horse slaughter in this country. Despite the massive public outcry, they are on a fast track to exterminate our wild horses and burros. For what? Why? Who is getting paid off? ALL OF US IN UNISON SHOULD CONTACT PRESIDENT OBANA AND YOUR SENATORS TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE BLM AND TO GET THE ROAM ACT OUT OF A SENATE COMMITTEE (where it has been for a year and a half while our horses lose their freedom). The ROAM act would restore the freedom of these horses to roam on our public lands. The authority of these horses should be taken away from the BLM and Bob Abbey, head of the BLM, should be fired.

Somthing has to be done to save the wild horses. Im so tired of hearing about horses ran to death and shot by blm. If they are not killed on the range they stay on the feed lots up in Fallon, NV. Where they end up getting sick and die. Were they were better off left on the range. But because the cattlemen are using the lands to graze their cows they are worried that thee mustang is going to take away what they think is just for them. Blm gets plenty money from the cattleman for the cows being on blm land. They consider them a nusince and want them dead. Thats why in some cases the mustangs have been cut off from water and food sources and that is why they are dying. Not because there is not enough food and water. A few friends of mine and I have the Nevada Power plate on our vehicles which is to support the wild horses. If I find out my money from that license plate is going to blm to aid in their slaughter I will be taking it back to the dmv. Mustangs once trained make the best compainions. Once you gain there trust and respect their is nothing they wont do for you. I have had a couple. Please save them they are our heritage and our link to the old west. We preserve places like National Parks and other historical sites so why not the mustangs who sometimes roam in them also? You would never think of destroying these places so why consider destroying the mustang?

Why must we pratice cruelty and abuse in this supposedly wonderful country of ours! Is this how we want our children to be raised. Remember the seeds you sow, you will also reap! Please pratice taking care of our environment and including all God's Creatures, after all that is all we are too... one of Gods' creatures.

These horses are part of our heritage, and absolutely magnificent. If a private citizen can be prosecuted for cruelty to domestic animals, then the federal government should hold BLM accountable for this, as well as the destruction of a national treasure.

please keep it in check. this is starting to get a bit out of control, don't you think? Maybe check up on the work and see for yourselves.... these horses are our backbone to our country and you all know it. You do know we will need these mighty animals again when we run out of fuel and have no other means of transportation or power.
