My husband said he is now gay and he dose not love me any more after 4 years that we have been together. I was hurt and helpless after trying so many ways to make my husband take me back. One day at work, i was absent minded not knowing that my boss was calling me, so he sat and asked me what its was all about i told him and he smiled and said that it was not a problem. I never understand what he meant by it wasn't a problem getting my husband back, he said he used a spell to get his wife back when she left h

It's difficult to accept that this should be considered a disability because there are far worse things than being tired all the time, but narcolepsy is SERIOUSLY debilitating and I'm just now coming to realize how much it impacts my life. It feels like drowning or working through a fog ALL the time. I sleep through several loud alarms (one that even vibrates the bed), feel faded and disengaged in class and work, and have an extremely difficult time focusing on reading or projects.

This is a debilitating condition. I lost my job when I could no longer get the med that helped me (and many others) for years. I cannot take meds that affect my heart and there is nothing wrong with pemoline in spite of what was said about it causing liver problems/failure in a only a very few persons. It was pushed onto kids with ADD. Kids get sick and mothers overdosed them with acetaminophen combination products which DOES cause liver problems. The drug was available in France for many years before it became available in the US about 1975. It helped me in many ways including my short term memory. I have now lost my husband who divorced me after almost 30 years of marriage. The med I am on does not work well at all and does nothing to help me with my short term memory. And yes, I fear I will become homeless or end up in a nursing home much sooner than I expected. I believe I will be the youngest person there and not looking forward to losing everything I have. What the FDA (aka big pharma) did is just plain wrong! And done only because big pharma needed to push it's newer, more expensive drugs that only work part time if at all and certainly don't help with memory problems at all. I know this from my own personal experience, yet you and/or big pharma is doing studies and wasting tax dollars with one of the drugs I had taken to see if it helps alzheimer's disease. This is all bogus. These newer drugs won't help with memory issues at all!

I don't see myself as a person with a dibilitating condition but my mind and body prove me wrong on a daily basis. Narcolepsy is a complex condition and living with it is a constant battle in this society. Even years of medicine and mind coping skills haven't decreased the various problematic symptoms striking at unexpected times. It has only allowed me to understand what is actually going on and reduced the chances of me being treated for things that aren't truly wrong.
