CPS has evolved into a perfect example of government over reach. CPS is but a mere shadow of what it was created to be. It has spiraled purposely and intentionally so out of control it may be beyond reform. CPS was suppose to help and strengthen the family unit but now it's only objective is to remove the children and adopt them out all while preaching they stand for the best interest of the child. Federal incentives are only available once the child is removed and also when adopted out. There's no federal funding to avoid the traumatic removal and placing with strangers, helping out a family in need that maybe in between jobs or needs better living arrangements or their car broke down, there's no federal funding for services for families so they can work on any issues while staying intact. CPS workers are not trained investigators. They come in already believing you are a guilty heartless child abuser, they don't take the time to actually ask what is really going on but just start making accusations and then write in their court report as if it is actual fact and true and the judges believe them because it's their job to investigate the family. Their needs to be oversight and accountability outside of CPS and federal funding to keep families together instead of ripping them apart over the most minute issues so the families of the United States of America can flourish outside of this government overreach and tyranny. The government can not nurture and bring up a child better than the parents.REPORT COMMENTS

I am currently being harassed by CPS regarding an incident that I had no involvement in, nor was I aware of what happened. Investigators are claiming my baby was sexually abused by someone else, although they refuse to give me any information about what happened. Our rights were violated when CPS showed up without warning at my home with a police officer. They had no warrant or paperwork of any kind and did not show any ID. They kicked in my door and came inside, started taking pictures all around my house. The officer threatened to arrest me for asking to see a warrant. I was forced to take my baby and go with them, under more threats, to a 'child advocacy center' where they performed a sexual abuse exam. No evidence of abuse was found. CPS continues to call and harass me and claim they will be coming back to 'follow up' on their investigation. However I was never the one being investigated and I was told they know I had no involvement with the abuse and they believe she is safe with me. I still have this impending visit looming over me, as well as constant anxiety and frequent nightmares related to them kicking in my door and taking us away without cause or warrant.REPORT COMMENTS

Please put a stop to this corrupt unfair system. It's a one side battle you up against an army. How is that fair? I've been fighting the system for over 2 years going on 3. I have literally done everything not once but twice, yet they still always find some corrupt way to fabricate court reports and indicate that what you have done is not enough or you have not benefited from it. The worse part about this whole cps system is. That they drag these poor innocent children through the mud from home to home. Psychologically traumatising them yet they indicate were the bad ones and their doing what's best. How is that what's best for a young childs growth in life. Then to top it off after a parent has done everything right to the tee and proved their selves to be capably fit to care for their own child. They have not only cps fighting against them along with the child's attorney but the foster parents as well. Indicating that all though the mom and dad have changed circumstances is has took to long and the children are thieving in their prospective adoptive home. That's is so injustice and if you ask me a violation of one's constitutional rights ( we the parents have the right to decide what's in the best interest of our child) bs more like the state has the right. This needs to stop to many children are being effected by this. Then they wonder why our world is so effed up with so much hate and crime. Well there it is there...the answer!REPORT COMMENTS

Sara, a young first time mother began her journey into motherhood with the birth of her first son, Isaiah. Her labor was painful, intensive and long. Arrowhead Hospital in Arizona administered Pitocin to both speed up her labor, and then in a near fatal mistake the hospital administered medication to stop her labor, which caused both mother and child to go into distress. This medical error resulted in oxygen deprivation to Isaiah. Unfortunately, the cord was wrapped around Isaiah?s neck twice, he suffered seizures after his birth which then required an emergency C-section and Isaiah was administered heavy doses of anti-seizure medicine. It was not until Isaiah was about seven months old that he was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. Medical professionals determined that Isaiah did not experience any more seizures after his first day of life, but he struggled in many other areas due to the injuries caused at birth. Time went by and Isaiah turned 14 months old, and was making great progress. Unfortunately, everything came to a screeching halt when suddenly one day he was ripped from his mothers? loving arms because a new therapist, (who had only visited with Isaiah only 3 times) ?thought? Isaiah was having seizures and called the CPS hotline. At that time he was under the care of multiple medical professionals, was not experiencing any seizures, and was cleared by the doctors. He was, in fact, having tonic spasms exhibited by spastic arching of his back due to his Cerebral Palsy. Regardless, that call altered the lives of this family forever as Sara was placed on the Central Registry within 2 weeks of having Isaiah taken, rendering her a child abuser for the next 25 years, which subsequently also affected the removal of her next 3 children. Despite asking for an administrative hearing to dispute being put on the central registry, she was denied proper due process. All of this happened before she had even had an adjudication hearing ? a trial? in dependency court, where the state has to prove beyond a "preponderance of evidence" that she was a "neglectful mother." At That Time.....Karla Johnson, Sara's mother owned a beautiful five bedroom home. Sara, who was living with her mom at the time, had a supportive family. They lost everything. The financial toll was devastating. If the Arizona CPS system worked properly, Isaiah would have never been taken in the first place, but once he was, he would have been returned as soon as a proper analysis of the situation was achieved by those with knowledge and expertise of these complicated medical issues was evaluated. Sara Was Marked Then TARGETED Without a Chance to Prove Her Innocence 1. Sara was placed on the Central Registry within 2 weeks of having Isaiah taken, rendering her a child abuser for the next 25 years. 2. When the case manager was questioned and a report was filed after doing a home check, she stated ?Isaiah was not in danger.? If he wasn't in imminent danger than why was hREPORT COMMENTS

This happened in 1971 in October. My ?friend? Lorie asked me to take her to Manitowoc Wisconsin, because she thought her boyfriend was cheating on her. He was working up there with his brother in law Bill, on a construction job. We were gone over night, and the next day, Lorie told me she wanted to stay another night, because her boyfriend made reservations somewhere, so I said okay. That was a mistake. We went back the next day, and I walked into my house, and there was a note on the kitchen table from the Cps workers who had taken my kids. I called the number on there and was put on hold and hung up on. I called back, and was told that there had not been any babysitter, so my kids had been taken away. I said I had a babysitter there, so they should not have done that. The guy said I would be investigated, and he hung up. An hour and a half later I was in jail. It was four months before I saw my kids again. I had visitation twice, and one phone call. Then they wanted me to move and said that I could not see my kids until I moved. This went on for a long time. It would have been nice if there had been email in 1971, but unfortunately all there was in existence was the telephone, and I did not own a tape recorder or an answering machine. So lies proliferated in my case, and I could do nothing. One day, Lorie called me and we talked about a lot of things, and I told her a few things I was stressed out about. The following day, I had a hearing in family court about getting my kids back, and lo and behold, that conversation was repeated verbatim by my ex?s attorney. Much perjury was committed on the part of my ex's attorney, who used to be my friend, and also a lot of people whom I thought were friends repeated conversations between myself and them to the wrong people. I was definitely a vulnerable victim. My kids are now 47, 51, and 52, and I have another son, who is 43, and he is by a different dad. The father of the first three told them that because I had another baby, that I didn?t like them anymore, so that made them think that I was no longer their mom. Then he married somebody else, who became their substitute mom, and that alienated them further away from me, their real mom. Life gets complicated, to say the least. I am here right now to say that I can identify with a lot of you who have been separated from your kids by the governing agencies. At that time it was the child welfare department, working with child protective services, and the family court system. Now it?s cps, and a host of other initials, which just compounds and confuses issues, because one doesn?t know whom to trust or go after.
