in jan of 2013 i received a call from burke county dss and they had taken my cousins baby and asked if i was in a position to take her so i said yes. me and my husband drove to hickory and picked her up 3 days later she was 6months old. she had been taken from her mother and father due to physical abuse. we took care of her and provided a nice and loving home for her during the whole process it was explained to us that it was considered kinship foster care. areound about may 2013 i was asked to take her brother that had been taken from a family member and me and my husband agreed. i was then told by burke county social services that they would need to come do a home assessment which was fine. during the time we had thebaby girl in our care there was a social worker from mecklenburg county that had conducted background checks and did weekly visits to our house to check on the baby girl and the paper work that was given to us said that they recommended that she remain in our care. June of 2013 Burke county social workers came to my house and completed the assesment and eveything checkd out they asked a series of questions regarding my husband past record from 12yrs ago and that was that. i later received a call from burke county social workers stated that they were coming to pick the baby girl up because we failed to give them all the information regarding my husband past. every question that was asked we answered mecklenburg county had did a background check and cleared him and myself and then all of a sudden burke county comes and removes the child from our home and there reason was we didnt tell them evething they needed to know. my response to them was we told you everything that you asked of us as well as provided background checks. both children have since been placed in foster care and to me its just not right. why would you want to place children in a foster home when they were in a stable home with ppl that loved them took care of them and nurtured them. its not like we are strangers those children are my blood family and it still hurts to this day that they are not with us anymore all over a technicality... to me the social workers at burke county social workers removed those children for other corrupt reasons............ its not right how social workers can just come and remove children out of great homes!!!!!!!!! THOSE CHILDREN WERE LOVED BY OUR FAMILY WIHICH IS THERE FAMILY AND WE PROVIDED EVERYTHING THAT THEY NEEDED...........SO NOW THE KIDS STAY IN FOSTER CARE UNTIL THEY FEEL THE PARENTS HAVE GOTTEN THEMSELVES TOGETHER....... SOUNDS TO ME THATS NOT THE BEST INTEREST OF THE CHILDREN!!!!!! WHY NOT LET THEM BE WITH FAMILY...... I JUST DONT GET IT!!!!!REPORT COMMENTS

CPS lied to me and took my children from me when I came to them for help in prosecuting my ex-husband for child abuse. They instead placed my children tried to frame me for abuse of my children (which they dropped due to lack of evidence) and then placed the children back into the man's home who had sexually abused my daughter and physically abused both of my daughters. This is wrong and needs to be investigated and stopped!REPORT COMMENTS

Cps was called on mom and cps has left our child in her care. Daughter is histerically, not knowing if she's ever gonna see me and my parents again. Now we have to wait another month for a trial. Mom has told so, so many lies to cps and they have believed her, this isn't right. My little 5 yr old girl is really suffering.REPORT COMMENTS

Any loving mother rich or poor deserves her children who Jesus blessed her with for a purpose of having a loving familiy.
